  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • oyeeeeeahhh!!!cool music!EVIIIIIIL!!!!!)))+1

  • Fucking tasty riffage mate, yours is one of the few good agile demonstrations on youtube. The rest are just talentless hacks playing open notes on the lowest strings

  • @GuitarDisciple100 If you listen to buckethead then no it doesn't scare you

  • I see you sold your Agile, what do you prefer, Ibanez RGA8 or the Agile?

  • @AndreSonsOfSamael Yeah sold the Agile - Didn't get the Ibanez, I bought a custom Siggery fanned fret... Definitely prefer the Siggery but don't really have a bad word to say about Agile. I've never tried any of the ibanez 8 strings

  • @baldeeee The Ibanez isnt great, Would go either Schecter or Agile. I have the Ibby, dont bother, too expensive for what you get, and if your testing the water go Agile, they offer more for way less.

  • Tabs for the first riff?

  • holy shit im having 2nd decisions about this schecter c8 im going to order after hearing what can be done on this thing....is there a site i can look at so i can see some prices?

  • what amp are you jamming through in this??

  • @motabaco Peavey 5150

  • @motabaco Peavey 5150

  • dude your crunch tone... its so dam good!!! so dam chunky!! so dam natural! remindes me abit of nile

  • how much did that guitar cost?

  • This is the same guitar I'm ordering. How is it? Is it easy to play on the 28 inch scale? Or is it a huge jump from 6 strings. I've been playing sixers for 13 years.

  • @syn5643 major, if you ever played a bass you will be fine with the scale length but if you never played a bass it takes a while to get use to.

  • I've commented on this video like 6 times already, but god damn, I love your writing style, and you're one of the few people that can actually play an 8 string. Wicked job man.

  • low frame rate man lol. How is that guitar working out for you though? I want to get the same thing but with only the bridge pickup

  • 0:48 o.o aha what was that!! 2:00 thats insane xp (Y)

  • this song scared more hell out of me than the bible

  • please tab man that sweep riff is amazing please give tabs!

  • it actually in some parts seems speed up

  • Fucking excellent I'm buying this guitar

  • A bit there reminds me of Unexpect:D

    Keep jamming, man!

  • Sick as fuck dude. What tuning are you in?

  • @DB73093 standard tuning

  • @baldeeee what kind of pedal are you using or how do you get that sound in the first song??? also this is pretty brutal very nice.

  • F# B E A D G B E

    @DB73093

  • I was slightly aroused by your left hand

  • respect!

  • I can't believe how beefy this first riff is ! Totally insane ! Ballsy shit !

  • SAVAGE!!! jesus....check out my video "albert fish" you might enjoy it

  • tabs? :(

  • The intro is the scariest riff i have ever heard, that is the first time music has actually scared me, so cool

  • What song is the first riff you play from? I can't find it on their album D:

  • @HarveyNeary92 its right at the end of the album/last song

  • @HarveyNeary92 Its called "dya hear that wolf"

  • Fluid playing, full marks man. Keep up the good work.

  • awesome man. fucking sick

  • so heavy yet so creepy at the same time!! i like it!!

  • very beast!

    what scale intrepid is that?

  • @FuneralFragz 28.???

  • @baldeeee 28.615

  • @baldeeee I believe it's 28.685. Not sure, though.

  • My problem with the 8 string is i always forget what string I'm on haha. I want one so bad, but I'm a 6, and I think the jump would be far too ridiculous. Nasty playing bro.

  • Comment removed

  • sick....just sick dude..

  • What thunderous sound, I should play one of these sometime

  • That second riff at 0:53 is fucking insane, incredibly technical yet still catchy.

  • You and Tosin Abasi are the only people I have EVER seen who properly use an 8 string. Everyone else just abuses the 2 lowest strings. Also, what amp are you running through? I have never heard lead work that sounds even remotely close to that. =O

  • wow this is amazing

  • Comment removed

  • @AnOddMusician yep, check the description or search for Tangaroa myspace

  • damn foo if you wrote that thats sick

  • whats the name of that song?

  • Is that the 828(28.625" scale) or 830(30" scale)? And is it comfortable? My pointer finger to pinky from wrist to elbow will be about 3 1/2" from my elbow. So i was wondering if I would be comfortable playing a 30" or should get the 828 for comfort?

  • @DeadEyeSprout its the 28.625 scale... It took a while to get used to the extended scale but I love it now, its a really nice guitar to play n yeah its really comfortable to play.

Personally I wouldn't go for the 30 inch scale, I'd get a multiscale if I wanted the improved tone for the low strings cos I'd imagine the tension on the high string would be too tight... The tone of the 28 scale is immense anyway! I love the snappy sound/feel of the extended scale too

  • @baldeeee Thanks for the prompt reply!

  • Why isn't this the video with 40K views? Fuck mine, dude

  • God, I love your lead work so much.

  • @ThePlaguedRaven cheers : )

  • It really looks like is sped up in some parts, but probably the camera is weird :P

Anyway it's awesome, really love this kind of music \m/ Keep it up!

  • .... for the people who think this is sped up.. /watch?v=NL_BX6Qyzbc

  • @OuterHeavenMetal nay it's not sped up i've seen him play it in front of me.wish it was speeded up to be fair then i'd feel less lame on the guitar.unfortunately he's awesome and i suck

  • watch your left hand movement at 3-4 secs, its unnatural, and so is your right just b4 that

  • @OuterHeavenMetal nay it's not sped up i've seen him play it in front of me.wish it was speeded up to be fair then i'd feel less lame on the guitar.unfortunately he's awesome and i suck

  • @OuterHeavenMetal nay it's not sped up i've seen him play it in front of me.wish it was speeded up to be fair then i'd feel less lame on the guitar.unfortunately he's awesome and i suck

  • I'm into metal, but this is too fast for my tastes. However, this requires talent, and you have it.

  • you can see the light adjusting in the background, its adjusting too quickly than how a normal camera would adjust. this is sped up, its easy to correct pitch.

  • @NickFerraroAwesome HAHAHA! WRONG!

So did i speed up the original recordings when I recorded with Tangaraoa?

  • @NickFerraroAwesome @NickFerraroAwesome the nokia xpressmusic phone records in 7fps or 15fps, sorry if this isn't up to the lighting specifications you require! ... and just out of curiosity, if its so easy to correct the pitch/speed, could you just explain exactly how i supposedly did it?

  • @baldeeee you could do it in audacity

  • @OuterHeavenMetal how exactly?

  • @baldeeee what do you mean how? there are hundreds of ways to speed up a video, if you watch your cloths and you guitar you can see sometimes it moves extremely fast, and jumpy, an that isnt down to low fps at all

  • @OuterHeavenMetal give me one example then : ) specifically the one method you think I used in this video!!!

  • and it is sped up, you can tell by your movements its sped up

  • @OuterHeavenMetal ok, so did we speed everything up when we recorded the tangaroa album?!!

  • this is siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick

wish I could sweep on an 8 >.<

or had an 8 to try it on. XD

  • brutal

  • do "in the hive of complication". now. i demand it

  • Dayum. Teach me?!

  • is it just me that can tell that this is sped up?

  • @davaodan Hahaha! It's not sped up dude!...... its slowed down : )

..No, Honestly though, it's not sped up. A lot of people have said this. check out the original recordings on the album - same speed/pitch

I'll take your comment as a compliment

  • @davaodan ive seen tangeroooaaaahh live , an this aint sped up

  • @davaodan this IS speed up

  • @ShredHard01 IT'S NOT SPED UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @baldeeee It is lol

  • @davaodan Listen to the original recordings - did we speed them up too?

  • @baldeeee your movement is un-naturally fast in my opinion. im NOT saying that this is or not speed up. either way, its sick as fuck.

  • dude i can find your album can you paste us a link??????

  • HOw much would this guitar cost?

  • what is the name of the first song? its awesome

  • @guitarguy1495

"d'ya hear that wolf", its the last track on the Tangaroa album

  • what is the name of the song? its awesome

  • JIZZ dude you gotta tabs that sexy starting riff!

  • @ghost666HAZE I want to see it too, because Im new on this style and want some sneak peak in building monsters like this.

  • JIZZ

  • Oh god... It's all over the keyboard...

  • dude you play so cleanly

  • standard?

  • where can i find music by this band?

  • @WillNatch Just search for TANGAROA, our album is available for free on quite a few blogs... Dont buy it! Ha! God knows whose pockets you'll be lining, certainly not ours!!

  • @baldeeee this proves that you are actually about the music instead about the money! \m/

  • do you prefer the passive over the active emg 808 option?

  • @symphx1

i like the EMGs for 8 strings for the same reason Tosin Abasi uses them, i got the idea to try them on my eight string from him too. the high and low frequencies sound smoother to me and dont sound like they are fighting each other. however i do not like them for standard range guitars.

  • Those are some fast fingers there...

  • Are those the stock pickups?

  • @kilyatwice Yep, I really like em

  • D: tabs? :(

  • TABS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @baldeeee TABS!!

  • Definitely my favorite guitarist from Leeds :). New Tangaroa riffs soon? Yes?

  • TAB?!

  • What is the first riff from??? Its so fucking IN-SANE!!!!

  • @bronzehydra3 'D'ya hear that wolf' - Tangaroa (album - one hand for the knife, one hand for the throat)

  • @baldeeee thanks! It's seriously one of the sickest breakdowns i've heard!

  • Cepeheus and Alpha pickups correct? Do you like them alot?

  • omfg is there a tab for that tapping thing?

  • hey man you should turn up the drums lol just kidding man isnt it annoying when people give mixing advice on you tube .... not much you can do with a camcorder lol.... awesome playing man

  • Do some Vietnamese killing queens

  • @Oerzwijntje : ) ........ok

  • Man, really really good playing. I was going to ask how you know Tangaroa riffs so well, but I found out you wrote them hahah.

Awesome guitar, awesome music, thank you for this. And yes those first sweeps are killer.

  • Dude! Straight from glorious Hell to your bedroom....

    AWESOME SHIT! :)

  • the tone is kinda poo to me, good playing though

  • @ibanezxiphos700 I don't know what you mean - camera phone + youtube compression = awesome tone!! : )

  • @baldeeee yes...not everybody has a goddamn studio eh!

  • i dont understand. the hard parts are real but the easy parts look fake. im not saying it IS fake, but it looks like it. maybe its the light

  • @deathcore1239 yeah i get what your saying

    its the light

i dont doubt this guitarist at all....that shit looks siiiicckkk :D

makes me want an 8 string :)

  • @afrokidguitarist this is the vid that makes me want one too haha

  • @deathcore1239 hell yes the instrument at first doesnt make sense...

i still dont fully understand why the hell anyone wants to go below B but damnit its amazing and sounds sooooooo sexy

    porn for my ears :)

haha shit i need a 7 string before i can even dream of getting an 8 :)

  • @afrokidguitarist well im always below B on my 7. no much, its in A standard. but id get an 8. even lower and heavier haha, sounds i cant even get with my 7, without ever losing the 1st 6. and goin from 6 to 7 isnt that bad. just play ALL DAY for about 3 days when you first get it and you wont even feel the difference. cant wait to make the 7 to 8 transition

  • i feel sorry for your strings.. looks like your beating them up when you pick sometimes

  • reminds of blotted science but really cool though good job

  • YAK!!! This riff makes me want to vomit!

    Still some mad skill though.

  • would you possibly have tabs for the tapping part at the beginning?!?! :O

  • DAMN those are some bad ass riffs, dude. The first one probably has one of the coolest tapping licks I've heard in a while, did you come up with that?

  • Jesus christ being disemboweled by aborted fetus demons in hell, how the hell do you do that lol, your hands remind me very much of a spider on crack...in the best way possible. Thumbs up, and double thumbs for the guitar, I have the same model, makes me feel better just picking it up lol

  • what do you tune that beast to? my random guess is either standard or EADGCFAD

  • sick stuff, very sick, get some studio time though man, you guys are worth it

  • that is weird, its like death kind of doom jazz, you know your shit, i couldn't do it, to used playing six strings, between e and d tuning, it is not my thing, i could tell it is not easy. keep up the good work dude

  • what sweeps are you playing in the beginning?

  • Comment removed

  • is it hard to go from using a 6 string to an 8 string??

  • @keasaildsslog

I went from a 6 to a 7, which was pretty easy... Then 9 years later I went from 7 to 8 strings... The transition from 7 to 8 strings is is much more confusing but that's because of the extra 3 1/2 inches in length.

  • this is awsome man, very cool vid

is Tangaroa even a real band?

    (ik, stoopid question)

  • @proggod876

Yes : ) ...But not anymore!

  • @baldeeee do u know what hgappened?

  • @proggod876

Yeah, many factors affected the demise of the 'roa!

shitty record label screwing us around! lives/jobs/careers = not enough time for it at the moment.. we're in a tricky position cos our musical tastes have drifted apart over the last few years so it's difficult to know where where we'd start if we started writing again... I'm sure there will be some form/reincarnation of tangaroa in the future though : )

  • @baldeeee that sucks man, i like there stuff man

  • Omfg your really good. I got two questions what band are u playing and how long have u been playing guitar?? Thanks

  • @BreethinDeathcore

I WAS playing in Tangaroa but we're not doing anything at the moment.. been playing about 15 years

  • do you guys consider yourself progressive metal or what?

  • @STDrocker40

never been too conscious about that kinda thing. people have pigeon holed us into loads of different sub genres... the word 'progressive' is used far too much these days, I don't even know what that word means anymore!!!

  • @baldeeee yeah i know its like calling a band indie, how is it independent if everything sounds the same, you know?

  • can i borrow some of that skill you got? im a tad short

  • just bought your album yesterday, its wild

  • stock pickups?

  • @praetorian18

Yep, I reckon it was the better option over the EMGs

  • Do you find yourself using the neck pickup alot on your 8 string? Im getting an agile 8 but still not sure about the single 808 or a dual passive set. Any info you can offer would be great;y appreciated.

  • @guitaristguy20

Yeah I love the neck pickup sound, especially for lower gain settings.. I'm pretty much using the neck pickup all the time for the new stuff im workin on

  • Awesome playing man...im sure you've been told before, but i enjoyed watching that.

  • What song is the very first tapping rip from?

  • @RealityBend "D'ya hear that wolf"

  • @baldeeee thx ;d

  • that is a pretty damn sexy guitar my brotha

  • Dude, Those first sweeps & taps are eary as hell! They sound fucking sick but they're so dam scary/mean lmao. Your fucking sick tho dude, How long you been playin?

  • @ThePlaguedRaven cheers : )

    Been playin about 15 years

  • what song has the tapping at 2:20 in it?

  • hmmmm.....pretty good stuff.

  • nice

  • Sounds great, you
