He is very Faithful. Yes we will have our Trials in this life but it makes us stgronger. I will never regret finding Him, because He is Faithful to all His promises in the Bible
so is it basically just spending time in prayer and bible reading everyday to build a relationship with him Christ? how much time are we talking about?
In answer to your questions...yes, prayer and reading your Bible are very important in the development of a relationship with Jesus Christ. Think of prayer as conversation with God and Jesus....Talk with HIM as often as you would with anyone that you love dearly. I pray throughout my day in my walk with Jesus.
Reading your Bible provides you with the understanding of who the person of God and Jesus is.
May I ask..Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour and LORD?
well......... i have said the words and prayed the prayer, but is that it? if im truely saved, shouldnt i have fruits as evidence of salvation in my life? its been around 7 years already and i havent grew spiritually at all. no i dont read my bible or pray everyday. but thats because i cant. i get really distracted by thoughts right in the middle of prayer or bible reading, and next thing i know, an hour has gone by. so i give up immediatly everytime. i just cant do it. I DONT GET IT!

in late 2001, in my living room, i was so depressed. i began to see that the things of the world meant nothing to me anymore. then i thought to myself, "maybe i should turn to God." and i meant that with my whole heart. then, i believe, God spoke to me by giving me peace and joy in my heart. it was the MOST amazing feeling i had ever experienced. SERIOUSLY! but its all gone now. i feel like God had literally turned His back on me. and i had been thinking about that feeling i had everyday.

The Monk has him go down to the river and holds his head under the water, until the man gasping for air comes to the surface. The man thinking the Monk was crazy thinks he is trying to kill him. The Monk say, "What were you thinking about". The man says "air". Monk says, "Come back when you want God as much as you wanted air".
This story implies the kind of faith one must have in order walk and talk with God. Without it, one is not rooted. Strong roots will withstand the storms of time and keep us focused as when Jesus walked on water.
God is defined as the Light,Love,Truth& Spirit so I find it easy to want that,and I wanted that before I knew the God of the bible was that.We have sinned and He's perfect so recognizing that drastic offense on our part will help you do another key thing and that would be Breaking your own Heart for Him and allowing Him to give you a heart of flesh and restore you.Turning from sin not embracing it.Trusting in the Spirit not yourself,your mind,or your heart,the Spirit brings life.
