  • Dear Captain,

Although I don't expect a response from you because you're probably busy, I want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for your service to Trek fans like myself.

    Your fan now and always,

    Matt McMullen

  • Mr. Shatner,

I would just like to tell you or more of type you how much I enjoy you'r work. I really look up to you in a lot of ways and I hope one day to meat you in person.

    B.L.T.

  • i only just found out that Scottys dead.... still, we'll just have to have a re-write.

  • I am Denny Fucking Crane, no wait... I am Captain Kirk.

  • @WilliamShatner

    Hello Bill

How do you still cope with your tinnitus issue since you got, on the TV show many years ago! The level of the sound pressure went beyond your hearing threshold and that is what gave you and many other millions around the world who expose themselves to high SPL db levels.

I’ve had mine since Earthquake played in Sensurround early 1975 and that was loud at 120dbc. What you must have heard on the set was a bit over 120db due to the close distance!

  • Hello Mr. Shatner what is your opinion on a new star trek series if you have one that is?

Also have you ever watched the series enterprise with Scott Bakula as captain Jonathan Archer as I thought it was very much like the the star trek of your time?

  • is it OK if I call you " Mr. Shat ", or just " Mr. Shatner "?

  • How do you feel about Walter Koenig? - Jessica West

  • Mr shatner hi! ever since I watch you in Boston Legal,I have been proud in what I do.It taught me more of personalities.I loved it so much and I have learnt much.Is there any new serial in which you are taking part_?

  • we all need to addressed actors as people and those who entertain to have people to watch them..

  • Oh, also eh. I think George was queer for you and is acting like a jilted woman! HA! Who cares what he says!

  • How's it going eh!? You did a great job with your acting! I grew up watching the original Star Trek! TJ Hooker.......Well...... ;0)

  • Whats happens to people? Will Shatner just seems I dunno, sad... Like hes lost something. He seems lonely...?

God bless him. He should have done more comedy, he'd be a natural...

  • I like Danny crane

  • Danny Crane! :D LoL.

I just wanted to know if the ranch used in Boston Legal is yours? as its humungous! and you have some lovely horses. :D

  • if someone is unsure how to address him, they should try and call him captain, and see how that works... lol

  • hi bill jack in york england you r number one been a fan for years hope you and george takei i think you and him make up love star trek and they is only one kirk and thats you

  • Bill Shatner, and his character Kirk, have had a massive positiv effect on my life. I can forgive him anything. Kirk always found a solution to dire situations. Shatner is still smiling. I'll be happy with that.

  • Denny Crane.

  • I don't think I could do it, even if asked. I would have to say "Mr. Shatner", out of respect. LOVED you at DragonCon, btw!

  • George Takei is a deflated old "extra" from star trek, Hes obviously so deeply inlove with his own character that he thinks the entire series should have been based on him as the central character, George, Spock is more memorable than you.... and scotty...... and bones so get over it, maybe in another life. William shatner is a Legend! hes Hilarious and has an extrordinary talent

  • Personally I don't understand where this hatred has come from. Its time to let bigones be bigones. I'm a fan of both Mr Shatners work and Mr Takei's work as well and think both of you have done a lot for TV over the last X amount of years. I knew one of Mr Shatners relatives and she was lovely, Mr Shatner, if you see Lisa, tell her I said hello! Oh its gotta be said, I moved out of my mom's basement ;)

  • i think takei's ego is a bit bigger than shatners is, although shatner used to have a huge ego, aparently james dohan hated shatner as well until dohan got ill, then shatner took care of him and his family financialy. shatner has lightened up greatly since i saw him and mr. nimoy at a star trek convention in 1990ish, he was so egotistical he was almost booed off the stage for talking about women coming to his trailer on the show, nimoy had to change the subject lol.

  • I have to agree, if you've seen some of the interviews he's done where he discuses Mr Shatner, its like wtf where did this come from. The man needs to grow up.

  • Great new bio (All About Jeffrey Hunter) has Bill Shatner dedication! Bio at amazon!

  • Look at that woman's triceps! She's getting big!

  • Nice to hear that Bill is still "regular".

  • MEGA CRAP

  • 1969..in Vietnam AFVN carried star trek reruns.....was tiny piece of home on the TV....God Bless you Bill.

  • Why don't Shatner and Nimoy get along? Why don't Patrick Stewart and Michael Dorn get along?

  • Uh, what? Shatner and Nimoy are best friends.

  • Mr. Shatner, I watched a video of George Takei's comments at your "celebrity roast" and was disgusted by his vulgarity and his obvious hatred and jealousy of you that he's carried for decades. You reacted like the gentleman you are and it was obvious that others were uncomfortable with this gross tirade as well. He made a fool of himself, and needs to put the past in the past. Thanks for five great years as Denny Crane....lock and load!

    Peace,

    Glorianna

  • Look dude, I told you already. The hamster already escaped from the music box? Ohh... you're talking about the hooded deodorant can? The cat flap was vapourised in the production of the mousesquirt! No alfie. What? I can't hear you? did you say.. democratic paedophilia? That's it!! I'm using that for sharades! Hmm.. I think Natalie left the house upon the entrance of tuki. What? The doorknob appears to have been tampered with? Oh my god! That's why the peanut butter tasted of paint stripper!!!!

  • how would you qualify or term your professional relationship with Nemoy?

  • What was your favorite defining moment as Captain James Tiberius Kirk? And were you happy with your death in Star Trek Generations?

  • i wish they found a way of putting you in the new movie. after all it's mainly about captian kirk, and you are captain kirk. it isn't right they didn't put you in the movie.

  • You rock, Mr. Shatner.

  • Just call 'im Captain!

  • Or, if you're Russian or just a huge fan of Chekov, "Keptin"!

  • I love the painting behind you guys. Who is the artist?

  • his wife, Elizabeth.

  • I'll call you Mr Shatner. You rock! BTW I love these interviews with your daughter, she is adorable and you did a great job raising her :)

  • the phantom is right mr shatner, you are pretty cool, i saw you on different films a millon times and you kick ass, i'm too young to see stark trek but i've been following boston legal for a long time, you matched pretty well with the guy who played alan shore, you kick ass bill :)

  • Hi. I wrote to you before, but I have a suggestion now for someone to have on your show, "Raw Nerve"...Tony Shaloub.

He is so funny as you are too. I love his show, "Monk". I think he would be really interesting to interview.

  • pfft..... Will, ur not regular.....ur bloody SPECIAL!!!!! I don't know how u have the energy to do all those commercials, vids, talk show....like wow!!!!

  • One of your greatest moments was when you sang "Ain't That A Kick In The Head" on stage in Washington DC - way to go, Denny Crane!

  • Oh, okay, MR. Shatner. I apologize for posting comments in which I called you "Bill." I didn't mean any disrespect or presumption.

I've always just felt that to address someone by their first name and the implied familiarity is a form of respect in itself.

I remember in college being called by my last name. It always gave me a creepy feeling.

But I didn't mean to impose on you by doing that or presume anything.

And I think it's great you have a Tube channel. That's cool.

    Happy new year.

  • Mr Shatner, Love Raw Nerve. Watch it all the time.

  • What's the most annoying question you get all the time?

I want to make sure to never ask you, if I'm ever lucky enough to meet you :D

  • If there was a giant plague and everyone in the world died, but you happened to have the cure would you commit suicide, give the cure to someone else or use the cure and laugh at the dying peoples...??S??????S?S?

  • I must tell you, Mr Shatner, I bought "The Transformed Man" a year or two ago for sheer entertainment, but I genuinely consider it a mixture of madness and genius. It has enriched my life and there is nothing else like it. Thanks!

  • Shatner is batshit crazy. I love it.

  • Yes Sir, Captain Sir, Mr Kill Bill Cosby Shatner O.o

So nice of u to have a conversation with someone, I'll just go back to talking myself now :P

  • U come from behind when everyone thinks your done and that is what make's you Mr. Shatner.

I love the NameYourOwnPrice gig that was a historc event lolololol

  • Sorry to hear you lost money in the stock market. Mark Twain said "put all your eggs in one basket and then WATCH THAT BASKET"

  • Hey Bill (oops Mr Shatner). My fav TOS episodes are those where you really have to get out of character like when you were split in two and the other where you were possessed by a woman! I play that song you did with Ben Folds Five "Thats Me Trying" and it hits home because my 15 year old daughter from a prior marriage has disappeared (ran away) except for an occasional email (I work outside the USA). I sent it to her, I'm trying (like the song), hope it hits home with her! Luv u Bill! Thanks!

  • Thank you Mr. Shatner..great stuff.

I am wondering if you consider yourself a conservative or a liberal...or somewhere in between?

  • Hello Mr. Shatner, your character on Boston Legal cracks me up.

  • Mr. Shatner, just want to say your a great and classy guy! God bless you for making these videos, and may God bless your family as well! Also have you seen the new star trek trailer? Just wondering what your opinions were on that..Thank you!

  • Happy belated birthday, Mr.Shatner. I'd like to thank you for your particpation & ongoing support of Star Trek. That show brought my big brother, my father together on Saturday afternoons. Those were some great times. I'm still watching it, now with my husband. We love Star Trek & all its series. But we also enjoy what you've done outside of it. I'm very sorry to see one of my alltime favorite shows Boston Legal is in its final season. I love Denny Crane. Thanks for him & the charity work you do

  • Just found your Shatner Project. Thank you Mr. Shatner :) It's great to see you interacting with your audience and learning all these behind the scenes happenings. I think you are a very witty and intelligent man and it's a pleasure to hear your opinions on things.

Do you still have your horses and ride?

Thank you for all you have given to the world :)

  • I was never in the military, but my father was and a I grew up in a military environment.

Because of that, everyone is a Sir or Ma'am, Mr or Miss/Mrs until indicated other wise.

It's a sign of respect, as Mr Shatner correctly states.

For the record, in the military (British at least) you only "Sir" an officer.

  • Mr. Shatner,

Thanks for making these little videos - it's fun to see you "outside of the industry" having some fun with your family and telling anecdotes. All that's missing is a campfire. Marshmellows optional. ;)

Let's go out for a cup o' joe sometime at Aroma. You can start a new series of segments where you film members of your audience chatting with you over coffee. ;)

    Best,

    D~C

  • Of course, having "grown up" with you (Star Trek debuted the day after my 6th birthday and I heard the intro music as I was hanging upside down in a tree outside my house)I'd have to fight the familiarity if I ever met you, but you are still "Mr. Shatner" or even just "Shatner" (military habit!)

  • 6th birthday? what a young pup...

  • Mr. Shatner. I was a Sgt in the Air Force. I had a Chief Master SGT come thru my office one day and get upset when I called him sir. He told me that he worked for a living! My response? "Yes, Ma'am!" He never got mad at my calling him "sir" again! I'm in my 40's, and everyone is still Mr or Mrs until they say otherwise. My hubby & I love you on Boston Legal. Thank you for keeping us entertained!

  • I am prepping for CCT training in the Air Force right now, working hard, its going to be tough.

So anytime i see anyone mention anything about the Air Force im like, hey! me too!

And besides, your not only an airman, your a Star Trek fan, double kudos!

  • Love your channel Mr Shatner! I feel if I have known you all my life lol CHEERS

  • i'm hot for you Mr. Shatner. i like how honest you get in these videos.

  • I was always taught to refer to a man or woman by Mr."Lastname" or Mrs. or Miss or Ms. "Lastname" until given permission to refer to them by the name the person in question wishes.

So, Mr. Shatner, my full name is William Darold McDonald Jr., but please feel free to refer to me as Mac, since all of my friends (both new and old) do. Meanwhile I'll still call you Mr. Shatner until given permission to do otherwise.

    Best regards & wishes,

    Mac

  • love you in a non fagot way mr shatner,,keep it up,,,your cool,i love my guns

  • Though I'm a big fan of you Mr. Shatner; I am concerned about your weight...please go on a diet...thank you.

  • Always Loved you Mr Shatner!!

    Carolyn

  • i was playing a movie trivia quiz dvd game called SceneIt today and got the "before they were actors" question right of who the pictured actor was (being you). Watching those original Star Trek episodes sure helped LOL, and they're highly entertaining.

  • Mr Shatner, I respect that you point out to people that there is still a place for courtesy in the world, and yet, that respect is earned not by the name but by the deed. You are by far one of my favorite people. Celebrity status aside. You and Robin Williams! Have you ever met him? If you have, I would assume you would get alongwell.

  • I was wondering , Mr Shatner , which role is the most enjoyable for you - Denny Crane or James T Kirk ?

  • Loving this site!!!! Peace!

  • Have you put any thought into making any sequels to some of your classics?

Obviously you will not be making IMPULSE 2..

But, I would Love to see you make the sequel to the movie DEVIL'S RAIN :)

Will we be seeing that one on the Big Screen anytime soon??

  • The Shatner is awesome!

  • Bill your a cool guy, I'm 41 yrs old, been a fan since I was 5. Would have been nice to see you in the new movie countering Mr. Nemoy in some way. You look incredibly well for your age, any secrets to that? Keep up the great work, thanks for the help in boosting our culture into the 21st century. Take care. Daryl-Nashville, Tn.

  • Mr. Shatner,

Have you ever thought of playing the part of W.C. Fields? If so, who would be your May West?

BTW the comment that calling you Bill indicates a familiarity, well, we who have watched you for all these years do feel quite familiar with you and your characters. But I guess Mr. Shatner is better than Mr. Bill - : )

Thanks for the wonderful memories .

  • yeah he needs to join a gym.

  • He does not deserve my respect until he treats me properly unlike what he did back to me in 1985.

  • you look so much like my grandad as I remember him.... xxx

  • Mr. Shatner, could you please do a video about your pronunciation of the word "sabotage"?

  • mr shatner you have a very beautiful daughter. is she taken?

  • Woops , Hi Bill and Lisabeth !!!

  • Mr Shatner

    Thank you.

    Christina

  • Love you Bill

  • SHATNER -philes and -phobites alike:

search "Logan Richardson" on youtube, and tell me if you can see William Shatner performing with this band = LOGAN RICHARDSON & SHIFT.

William Shatner & Shift, could be the craziest freshest sound since Coltrane started taking acid before concerts.

  • Great video Mr. Shatner (Y)

  • Mr. Shatner,

Being a Shatner fan for 40 out of my 45 years and reading Star Trek Memories about a dozen or so times and lastly being a TOS fan, I was wondering how on earth you keep your schedule. I mean most people would be thinking about retirement, you on the other hand look as though you are just getting started! If you could answer in the "Jim Kirk" character, I would be most pleased!!

    Michael H

  • Dear Mr. Shatner,

Any chance of making a sequel to "Kingdom Of The Spiders?" I think it's time.......

    Cheers,

    Call me "Gerry"

  • Dear Mr Shatner what was your fav star trek episode or movie?

  • Who's the chick? She looks good!

  • MV , I think it is his daughter , lisabeth .

  • I think you're right.

    Thanks!

  • I am gay for William Shatner.

  • I think your great William but we have to hand over Star Trek to the younger lot who may not even know about the original series like what we have fond memories of. Its for the best they didnt offer you the part. Your awesome in Boston Legal, funny as hell. Keep up the good work!

  • It takes considerable time for these videos to download on my 56k modem. Not that I don't appreciate the fact you're making these posts, but ... OF ALL the SHALLOW things to waste bandwidth with! There HAVE to be more meaningful posts with which to waste YOUR time with! When I met Joe the World Series Manager last week, he didn't care if we called him Sir Joe or Coach Madden ... just don't call him the leader of the losing team in the World Series!

  • shatner shat on her.

  • Dear Mr. Shatner,

I have been enjoying the Shatner Project and all of your work. I went to a Rennassaince Fair recently and did some acting. One of the actors asked if I studied at the Shatner School of Acting. I took that as a great compliment! After the act he said I did the best job this year filling the role. I think you are a role model for budding actor and appreciate your work. Thanks,

    Somecallmebruce

  • Great

  • well - "regular" is good - "irregular" would be bad, scatologically speaking that is...... LOL

    Love the vids!

  • ok i am very confused now ! why the hell sometimes you are called bill and sometimes william.. i tryed google-ing this but couldn't make sense of it.

  • Bill is a common nickname for William.

  • Mr. Shatner: I got a chance to watch "The Intruder" (aka "I Hate Your Guts") and it was a great piece of work for such a low budget project. It's yet another reminder that story is king, but great acting is needed too. You were terrific!

Does it bother you at all that your career didn't take a different path? Would you have preferred more meatier roles, less Captain Kirk?

  • Yellow braces, yellow tie. Same out fit as the Sulu video.

I thought you'd have enough money for a different outfit for each video posting?

Forget Star Trek, do more Boston Legal and make me laugh.

  • SauronsEye, think about your post for a moment. Did it ever cross your mind that the reason why he's not wearing differnt clothes on each video posting, is because they taped a bunch of them the same day? This isn't a $40,000,000 production where clothing changes happen 10-times a day.

  • Brad6835, I guess it gives one reason to consider all things, eh? He was direct and assertive, and look where he is today. You snooze you lose.

  • Denny Crane. What else!

  • Wonderful to see you still have such good humor,Mr. Shatner!!! I remember meeting Mr. Walter Koenig at the ComiCon, and it was an amazing experience. Seeing you on this interview just increases my respect and admiration for you! I am actually a teenager but still really impressed with all your work! Thank you!

  • Mr. Shatner,

I would love to hear your honest and sincere opinion on U.F.O.'s, Extra-terrestrials, and the possibilities of intelligent life - out there. Thank you for everything.

    Best wishes to you always,

    Ty Trez

  • I love you, Bill! From TOS to Boston Legal and everything you've done inbetween. Elizabeth is one lucky woman! Take care and keep making us laugh.

  • HI, I love the videos, but I have one question, and please I really do hope you will answer it. Why will they not put bill in the new Star Trek movie coming out, It would be really great to see kirk in at least one more Star Trek movie. Please let me know. I am a big fan of star trek and wanted to know why can't they have william shatner in this new Star Trek movie. It really would have be great to see kirk in the movie. Thank you.

  • Mr. Shatner,

This is really awesome that you would consider answering some of your E mails on youtube. This is a great way to stay in touch with your fans and give us a little insight into the ways you think. You are definitely a giant in your field of acting and it's really nice of you to share some of your insight with us.

    Thank you,

    Eric

  • WOW I just found out I wasn't subscribed. Took care of that PDQ.

  • Hello mister Shatner and first, thank you for giving us the possibility ti dial with you. I am one of your french fans (Yes you have some!). I loved you as Cpt Kirk, I loved Tekwar and I rediscovered you with a great pleasure in Boston Legal.I have to say that in France, Star Trek is not appreciated to its real value, but... people who appreciated the show, and all the people involved in, must just find this situation "sad" , as you said. Don't change a thing! You're great

  • I really wish that George and Bill would buy the hatchet. And not between each other's shoulder blades.

Life is too short to be bitter.

  • Ugh. Don't even remind me about the stock market. 401K went to shit.

  • I agree with you Mr. Shatner. It is very respectful to use the prefix unless that person asks you to discard it. By the way, I love you and have for my whole life! Thanks so much for being so down to earth! :*

  • When are we going to see you a British talk show next? Would be really great to see you on the 'Paul O'Grady' show. Thanks Mr.Shatner from all your fans over here in Great Britain. Alistair. (TRUMPER007).

  • Shatner you never answered my questions, will you ever go out with me?!

  • can i just call you

    the shat!?

  • I think it's awesome that you take the time to interact with, and respond to, your fans! Not many celebrities take the time to do that, and I for one appreciate that you guys do this.

  • Bill Shatner IS Star Trek!

  • I have a question: Why did you leave Livevideo?

  • lol at the George comment. I always stick with Mr. and Mrs. when meeting celebs...you never know what your going to get sometimes. Many times their not at all like the characters they play

  • These videos are great! Keep up the good work!

  • I have been watching you since I was a kid. I would tape the Star trek episodes on a basic music cassette then play them back later. I loved everything you were in. I am now 50 years old and still love to see you on any program. I find it wonderful of you to be so full of life and to be so much a part of all that is new and going on, I.E. youtube, etc. I love how you interact with people and do not snub your fans. What a wonderful way to see you each and everyday. Keep it up. Love ya, Fawn

  • Merci, Thank you

  • I've been thinking about this question for some time. With your great love of horses, have you and your wife ever considered developing a TV show about horses? I think animal planet needs a show like this and I would love to see something on western riding and reigning or even a focus on different horse breeds. I think you would be perfect as a host and contributor for such a program.

  • It's fun to see you reacting to YouTube comments. There aren't much celebrities doing that kind of stuff.

  • You regular? Get out! Haha!

  • Ive Spoken and listened to george Takai, walter konieg, Majel barret and a few others at a few Trek conventions over the years. Its not just george Sounding out about bill. You'll find its most of the cast. What i heard was that bill was a prima donna on the set,Changed / co oerced a few directors minds to omitt other cast members from scenes and concentrate more on himself.Reference Bills biography it was mentioned that most of what was written never happened and was made up.Bill you need to talk

  • get lost loser.

  • You get lost buddy! If you have nothing nice to say then keep your yap shut!

  • What's your problem?

  • Mr. Shatner, I too am enjoying watching your videos. As a fan of the original Star Trek, your books, and your more recent television work, I wonder what is left on your to do list in film and television?

  • Dear Mr. Shatner: I remember seeing Star Trek 5 in the theater when I was a kid! It was awesome.

  • I love you!

  • Nice to see you having fun on YouTube! Yet another aspect of the "Star Trek future" coming true in regular life...

  • Why is Boston Legal being cancelled? I love the show. Have not heard why its going away.

  • Hello Bill, er...I mean hello Mr. Shatner. I'm proud of the fact that Canada rules he world and seeing you lead the Enterprise and Lorne Greene leader of the Battlestar Galactica we can now all see that Canada also rules in Outer Space!

  • You are a God among men.

  • You rock the house, sir!

  • Hi, I am a scifi fan and it all started with Star Trek. I have sooo many books of Star Trek including the books you have wrote. Now my 12 year old son is a scifi nut and he also loves Star Trek and Star Wars.He plans on being an astronaut! Did you see where George Lucas gave tribute to Star Trek? He is a fan of Star Trek as well!!!

  • While instaling a new toilet,I have discovered something that resembles the U.S.S. Enterprise,it's called a Toilet Flapper.I had to share this with everyone,so funny.

  • William Shatner is so awesome

  • william shatner god you the best ever out god you are so cool great job!

  • Your portrayal of Captain Kirk is what made Star Trek. I loved watching it as a kid & even in re-runs. My favorite episode was "The Trouble with Tribbles." I'm also a huge fan of "Boston Legal." The relationship betweeen Denny and Alan Shore is what makes that show. I never miss an episode. I even got my hubby to watch it with me each week. Thank you, Mr. Shatner!! You are what television is all about!!

    God Bless!

    Cheryl L.

  • You (Captain Kirk) made Star Trek what it was!! I loved watching it when I was a kid. My favorite episode was "The Trouble With Tribbles." Love you in "Boston Legal," and I also love the relationship between Alan Shore and Denny Crane. Your character (Denny Crane) is what makes that show great!! I never miss an episode and I even have my hubbby watching it with me this year. We LOVE it!! Keep up the great work, Mr. Shatner !!

    Your fan,

    Cheryl

  • Love it!

  • William Shatner is awesome ! I've always looke dup to him like a father.

Sulu looks like he's just jealous that Shatner was in charge during the Star Trek shows, while Sulu often got small parts.

Well that's stupid, of course one guy is going to be captain while more people will be crew members who have smaller parts. So what ? That's just how movie making is.

Sulu looks like he's just jealous, and he's making himself look stupid.

  • This is neat to see a movie actor respond to user comments! Big fan, due to Star Trek. I will watch Boston Legal when it comes on again out of cariosty!

  • Yeah like Jesus was regular. roflol

  • you guys are fantastic!!

  • COOL! Your responding to positive stuff instead of hater comments! That's a huge mistake that other big time youtubers make, great job!

  • I'd like to see more of these. Really enjoyed this.

  • Why do I adore this man so much?!
