  • How come (slow) people type in caps hoping they can drown out their own ignorance with cyber yelling?

  • NOW HES GOING TO SEE WHAT HELL IS ALL ABOUT FOR ALL ENTERNITY BAD CHOICE FOR NOT BELIVING IN GOD. REMEMBER PEOPLE IN LIFE YOU ALWAYS HAVE A CHOICE TO BELIVE IN GOD OR NOT TO BELIEVE IN GOD HE MADE HIS CHOICE AND TOOK IT TO THE GRAVE WITH OUT REPENTING FROM HIS SINS THE FOOL SAYS IN HIS HEART THERE IS NO GOD BUT HIS WAYS ARE EVIL THIS MAN WAS NOTHING MORE THEN A FOOL THERE ARE MANY LIKE HIM IN HELL JUST REMEMBER THAT PEOPLE GOD DOES EXIT IT'S UP TO YOU TO BELIVE IN HIM TO BE SAVE FROM HELL

  • @maxismax100 I find it hilarious how you call him a fool and yet you can neither spell nor punctuate properly. Sounds like you're just relieved that such an intellectual opponent to your archaic faith is dead. And believe me, only weak individuals as yourself are allowed to be scared into believing in fairy tales by being threatened by hell. Pathetic!

  • There will never be another like him.

  • i cant beLIEVE they said (00:30): "He was an atheist and an alcoholic"

it just makes you want to break their face apart

  • @plancknplant makes me feel the same way.

  • There is another aspect of religion of the Bible than Judaism/Christianity&excisted in some cultures til the 20th centiury First in the Bible-Adam thru to Abraham&really to Moses Job in the book of Job lived centuries before Abraham but had the same God Cornelius in the book of Acts was neither Jew/Christian nor a pagan, heathen,or infidel, but was "devout"This devout monotheism excisted before Judaism til the 20th century Most cultures fell from it but not all book-Eternity In Their Hearts FYI.

  • When Mao&the communist came to power in China in 1949, there were only 1 million Christians in China. Mao was gung-ho on wiping out all religion in China. BTW Mao also wiped out much illiteracy too. After 63 years of an iron-fisted policy today in 2012 there are 130 million Christians. The Chinese are converting at a rate of 30000 a day. I guess that Mao's little red book is no longer in style&we need "atheist missionaries" to re-convert these Christian Chinese back to atheism.Any Volunteers?

  • @RonSafreed I often meet people making the very same error - mistaking christianity for morality and atheism for immorality. Let me put it this way. I assume you are atheist about Tiamat, Zeus, Vishnu and many other invented characters. Now, why should your unbelieving in them affect your concept of morality? Or why should my un beleiving in your diety affect my morality? Atheism, unlike Christianity, has no moral claims at all - it's just the rejection of belief in the existence of deities.

  • Back in 1970, I was in the eight grade&I had a teacher, that in the summer of 1969 was part of a group of Christians who smuggled a suitcase of Russian Bibles into Moscow. He told on how they all prayed that the customs people at the Moscow airport would let that suit-case by. It was the last suit-case&the authorities let it through& some Russian Christians in Moscow got Bibles Atheist "God anwsers prayer". FYI

  • In the former USSR1917-92 atheism/evolution was taught daycare-university The Bible was banned&it was illegal to teach it to kids Within months of the fall of the USSRin 92 the Bible was put back in Russian schools Olga Lutsenko an atheist was the main one behind it Death threats made her go to Canada in 96&is a Christian now BTWshe is on youtube&I support her work financially distributing Bibles in Russian&Ukranian schools The Bible was absent 75 years in Russian schools back now 20 years FYI.

  • John Wycliffe1330-1385 who translated the Bible from Latin to the early-middle English in 1382 felt that the Bible needed to be in the language of the common folk&accessible to everyone. In 1442 his remains were dug up&a trial was held condemming him for translation of the Bible. His bones were burned to powder&dumped in some river. I read his life-story&have the book. Atheist wicked evil people in the past did what they could to keep the Bible from the common folk for over 1000 years FYI.

  • The Bible has only been accessible to the common man for less than 500 years. William Tyndale1486-1542 was the first to mass publish Bibles using the printing press in 1525. These Bibles cost a common man a week's wage. He smuggled them into England from Belguim. He was a hunted man who was caught, tried&executed in Brussels. I read his life-story. It took 10 months to hand-write a Bible The Bible for 1000 years was under lock&key, even many clergy did'nt have access to it let alone the laity.

  • Europeans&Orientals have 2 things in common. Atheism is most prevelent amoung both groups. However they have declining birth-rates that are below replacement levels&it has been this way for many decades through much of the twentieth century since WWI. The blacks&muslims are exploding&there is not much atheism amoung them&it looks like there is not going to be many converting to atheism soon. Atheist are a aging&dying population. How many atheist families are large?

  • He was NOT an alcoholic and he lived in D.C

  • I read "God is Not Great" followed by "The Portable Atheist". I wanted very much to thank Christopher Hitchens for voicing the feelings I had for a lifetime for me, and wished I had read his books (or ones like them) 25 years earlier.

I wanted to thank him for his work personally, and was dismayed, angry and saddened when I heard of his illness and that I probably wouldn't be able to.

So this is as close as I can come.

Thank you Christopher, from all of us whose feelings you expressed...

  • @MaskedMarvyl -ha ha -'thank you Christopher...' ....now that's funny..one atheist fool running after a dead one towards a burning forest. Talk about delusion - atheists have what they accuse others of in spades.

  • @whiteliketar, not only do you have a need to mock the dead, you have a need to mock the living who respect the dead. Why don't you show up at funerals, like those Westboro Christian nuts?

Everyone serves a purpose, whiteliketar, even you; which apparently is to remind people why they lost faith (and chose reason) in the first place.

So, oddly enough, thank you too..... :P

  • @MaskedMarvyl oh please ..spare me your atheist hypocrisy - why don't you educate your ignorant self and see the vitriolic speech that this man engaged in against those who had just died like mother Teresa ans Falwell and others - the man was a thug - well read and entertaining but just another atheist insect. a wasted life

  • Well at least he knows the truth now. RIP Hitch

  • Why was Christopher a fool, because he refused to believe in nonsense? Because he wanting people to stop being slaves to dogma? He was a great person.

  • the man was an intellectual thug - well read and well spoken but a certain fool for sure - now a dead fool. pity

  • @whiteliketar Sadly, I have to agree...

  • @whiteliketar, Poor whiteliketar, you only reveal your own smallness, and Christopher's greatness, by making such a statement. Christopher wouldn't have been so petty to you. You lose your own argument on your own terms, and you don't even understand why. And Christopher had to say nothing for it to happen.....

  • @whiteliketar, what's more pitiable? A dead,well-read fool, or a live you who I doubt reads? (other than magazines, etc.)?

I'll take the dead,well-read fool. At least he was thoughtful when he was alive, and would never write thoughtless comments like yours....

  • I think the BBC was honorless in calling Hitchens an alcoholic. How very cruel and common of a corporation.

Hitchens was a proud Atheist, as am I. Religion comforts...and cripples.

  • @lancethrustworthy Many see a Religion [Any Religion] that comforts them, some cripple, such as Satanism and Cannibalistic beliefs, but not all.

  • "he was an atheist and alcoholic" - assholes! seriously...

  • LOL!!!!

i wonder if it would be different if he were Christian..

"He is Christian and an Alcoholic" . i dont think so... for some reason, atheist is as wrongful as being an alcoholic... FUCK YOU BBC.

  • "He threw words up in the sky and they made marvelous patterns". He didn't even get credit for his "marvelous words". How sad.

  • alcoholic? BBC you stupid.

Though he didn't respect individual liberty or non interventionism, he did a bang up job at trying to justify using force to effect positive change for others, though this might work in the short term it does have long term connotations and creates a great deal of instability.

I hope you all will join my in purchasing a bottle of Johnny Walker Black Label.

My only sadness is that I can't have a drink and loosen the tongue with a few like-minded fellows like Hitchens.

  • He wasn't an Alcoholic...

He liked his drink and tobacco sure, but he wasn't anymore of a drinker than many other writers... no need to emphasis this upon his death...

Pretty sure he quit completely before he died... alcoholics don't just stop drinking like that.

  • @DackIsBack The notions of alcoholism and any other negative description of the life of Christopher Hitchens are only thrown up as a smoke screen. This is a normal tactic to divert the attention from the message and the real legacy that he left behind.

You have to take another hard look... are such people only trying to dilute his message with that sort of smoke screen bullshit?

  • Rest In Peace Christopher, You will Be missed!!!

  • Fortunate souls?!

    WTF!!!

They haven't understood a thing of him!

  • Alcoholic?!

    WTF!!!

  • Duh fuck?!? "He was an atheist and an alcoholic." What kind of a hypocritical idiot could write it like that? First of all, he wasn't an alcoholic. Secondly, why mention it at all? He liked his whiskey, he liked other drinks too, and he simply consummated his likings, like any other sane person should do, to the point of only harming himself, not anyone else. It didn't harm his friends, his family and most certainly it didn't leave any negative impact on his work (probably quite the opposite).

  • @gaiuspetronius1 - By his own admission, in his own writing, Hitchens would drink as much as a bottle of scotch *every* day at the height of his drinking.

  • @zxcv1234vcxz And so what? If you are so puritanical as not to be able to discern the difference between drinking and being an alcoholic you shoud read this article (5th paragraph mainly) to understand the issue better. good luck.

  • now he burns in Hell.

  • @LCenterR not only areyou axtremely rude, youalso know not what you are talking about, noonegoes to hell until armagedon.

    moron

  • @neuromatiker Did I make you mad.

  • Comment removed

  • @LCenterR was that your intention?

  • @neuromatiker nope, we don't know each other so who care either way.

  • @LCenterR Well I am sure you did not write your first comment intended on me, but what was your intention?

  • @neuromatiker I was simply expressing my belief that because of his atheism he is in Hell. Or he will go after Armageddon.

  • @LCenterR Simply expressig your belief, - no other intention? That would be like a muslim comming to the funural party of one of your fellow christians, and telling everybody their loved one is goin to hell, because he believed in the wrong god.

I am quite sure that you would feel that he was not simply expressing his belief, but actually trying to hurt the people at the party as much as possible. But you can't even admit that that was your intention.

  • Christopher Hitchens left an extraordinary example of honesty and an everlasting invitation to reason and doubt. He job will be remembered. He touched millions of lives and thank to youtube and other electronic media we can always go back to his words and use them as inspiration to make a better world. The best honor to his memory will be to think for ourselves and help other people understand that "religion is man made and that it poisons everything."

  • Search fot this: "Christopher Hitchens’ ‘Fundamentalist’ Exemption for Zionism" at antiwar, com

  • Christopher Hitchens was not an alcoholic. Shame on the BBC.

  • I'm rolling up a Sagan to commemorate his passing =D

  • Not to make fun of Hitchens here but I find it funny that his so called "intellectual" fans here are basically riding his cock with popularity.

I mean they claim to be against religion, preaching, etc... Yet here some people (wont say who) are idolizing him to the point of being an Eminem Stan. Calling him the giant of intellectuals, wanna the greatest minds, will be immortalist in the future, etc....

Now doesn't that sound like a cultish religious thing to do to an individual.

  • @UncannyRicardo It doesen't matter. Hitches legacy with be what it is. All we believers in Chris's message is fight credulity.

  • an alcoholic!?

  • He died ashamed of himself. An alcoholic has a deep sense of shame. Poor soul.

  • @rainwilds Too bad then that thousands of people will mourn the loss of one of the greatest minds of our time even though a few narrow minded individuals hate him. I'll never forget how great a human being he was. I'll celebrate him with a dover grudlah. Fool.

  • @cameradanblack Well, that's why alot of people err away from the Faith, cuz they ask questions, besides seeking answers for themselves. And why is it that alot of atheist has more questions than answers? oh, maybe cuz they ask too much questions when the answers are already in front of them. I'm sorry bruh, but the Truth is The Truth. And Jesus The Christ is The Truth. You need to watch a lil boy name Colton Burpo.

  • @CALIMADE916 Only one truth man. Jesus unfortuately is Mithras with a Jewish Mother. Just a story created to decieve by the Romans. Paul of Tarusus...just a story. Not real. You've been lied to. I cannot help you unless you want truth. Sorry you've been decived. I don't want to argue, but I know religous organizations lie. Don't you?

  • @cameradanblack True, religion orginizations do lie. But that is why I thank Jesus Christ that i'm not in religion. No1 here is trying to argue. But yeah, you're not going to pull me down with you. You believe what you want, and I'll Stick to my Jesus The Christ. God Loves you. call on Jesus. and you will find Truth. Lee Strobel did.

  • @CALIMADE916 What do you know about JC? Only what you've read right? I'm not trying to pull anyone down. The search for truth is scientist. I was deceived as well. The Gospels were created by the Romans to co-opt the Jewish Messiah and make him a Roman God. There is good evidence for this. I hope you'll investigate this and realize that religions care about is propagating their lies and not revealing truth.

  • @cameradanblack Quit ranting already, I rebuke you satan in the name of Jesus The Christ. And I told you i'm have no part in religion. God is not a Religion. Jesus appeared to me, in a dream I had. And i had did my research concerning this man I had seen. And come to find out. every testimony I have heard about Jesus appearing to them all came out with the exact description of Jesus. And I have never seen or met these people.

  • @CALIMADE916 I rebuke you credulity in the name of reason. Be thou gracious in granting us the knowledge we've learned from Chris about the deceit of priests and popes to open the minds of the oppressed. May the humanity which we hold in common be not destroyed by the idiocy of people believing lies and doing the bidding of zealots. May reason and consistency follow you all the days of your lives.

  • @cameradanblack wonder-fully worded and discerningly stated, cheers to you sir and cheers to the greatest writer of our time and an exceedingly exceptional human being, Mr. Christopher Hitchens, take care

  • @CALIMADE916

You are not "in religion" but you seem to be incapable of forming a sentence without praising your Lord Jesus Christ. Do you ever take a good look at yourself and ask: "What on earth am I talking about"?.... "I am devoting my entire existence to something I can't touch, see, smell, hear...etc"?

Who was your preacher/mentor? He (it will not be a she) must have been very good.

Please keep it up ...if only for my entertainment.

    Keep donating too.

  • @Gangly1 Praise and Glory Be to The Almighty God. If you're offended by me just saying that, without intentionally doing anything to offend you. then you really need to take a good look at your ownself. You defend hitchens out of hatred, cuz i know you wanna kill me, but I defend God out of Love, Because I don't want to see you end up where hitchens is right now.

  • @CALIMADE916 Kill you?? You got me confused with a religious fanatic, my friend. Quit the crap and tell the truth. You want control over your congregation's minds so that you can extract funds from them...fear...fear...fear.... pay...pay...pay...pay. The sooner the folks get to realise this; the better. In the meantime, consider your own fireproofing.

You may need it when you pass away...based on your lifetime beliefs.

  • @cameradanblack In your mind he may of been great, but his alcoholism will testify that in his on mind he did not think much of himself. Learn psychology fool.

  • @rainwilds Very Funny Indeed. I judge people by what they say not what standard they are judged against. Christopher Hitchens is a true Humanitarian and smart fellow indeed. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest minds of our times. Long live his legacy of reason.

  • @cameradanblack In psychology we are starting to learn that reason, whilst valuable, is exactly what keeps people from their authentic selves. It traps people into cognitive thinking, distancing them from their intuitions and body-feelings that provide a moral and life compass. Had he he listened to his internal guidance he would not of been an alcoholic, cynical and depressed person. I feel sorry for him; a brilliant mind (like many others in history) dying a lonely death.

  • @rainwilds We all die. Gross. Sad. Depressing. I've known it was coming for a year and I was hoping honestly for more Hitch on Youtube. I'm selfish. I miss him and will always think in my mind. "what would hitch have said?". Second guessing is stupid. Hitch mas a man's man. A real guy. I loved vibe and his personality. We've lost a deva and we all know it.

  • @cameradanblack He encouraged and conveyed strongly critical thinking, something duly missing from today's society. Questioning reality is something that he did well.

  • @rainwilds The dude is admired and hated by millions of people. His opinion of himself probably changed like everyone's does. You cannot change the fact that Christopher Hitchens is great even though you don't think so. Insulting me is stupid. You must be mad about something. I hope the pain goes away. Poor you.

  • @cameradanblack There is no need to salivate over him; lest he become your deity. Poor you for needing to worship another.

  • @cameradanblack i'm not hating on him or anything ah but how is it that he in your words "one of the greatest minds of our time" he was an author big frekin deal.

  • @hen8167 Obviously you have never seen him debate

  • Saddest news I have received in recent memory. The world is a much less interesting place without Christopher in it. I will miss him very much.

  • Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters. Friends...Please pour yourself a glass of Mister Walkers amber restorative to the honour of mister Hitchens...Accept no substitute!

  • Hitchens' ferociousness of overanxious reverence to his own illusion will be sadly missed those who pontificated the wizardry of an Unbeliever in rhetorical rhapsody and fanciful foolishness.

  • I didn't agree with him on everything , but it's a real shame to lose any prominent critical thinkers.

  • Hitchens was a brilliant, brilliant mind. He will be dearly missed.

  • Hateful nasty man, good riddance.

  • @BadSwineDOTcom yeah brainwashed moronic waste, whatever

  • @BadSwineDOTcom

Are you speaking ill of God?

    Plagues; floods; forced incest...etc.

Or have you not read the Bible?

    Prat.

  • @Gangly1

Nope I haven't read the bible and I am speaking about Christopher Hitchens, a mean spirited troll who spent his whole life belittling other peoples cultures.

I'll celebrate when David Duke dies or any other narrow minded bigot.

  • I have to agree: What's with atheists writing "RIP"?

    " 'E's not RESTIN'--'e's stone dead! "

Look, gang, you're going to have to come up with something else. I'm not sure what: "forever in our hearts," maybe? (That one does sound a bit sappy--not too Hitchlike. Can't see myself saying that about anyone, much less Christopher H.)

I dunno, we're going to have to work on it. But if you don't believe in an afterlife, "RIP" is just plain silly, innit?

  • No, neither a contrarian nor an alcoholic. Perhaps the BBC should aspire to his standard of communication instead of the impotent Orwellian propaganda it is barely capable of disseminating in it's trite and unconvincing way.

  • Comment removed

  • @Gericho49

As an atheist, I thank you for your continued support!

Your comment reads like a scientist searching for a real truth.

The search for the existence of a God, let alone Jesus, has failed you. What is it in REALITY, that JUSTIFIABLY "keeps one's faith" ?

No Scriptures please....their use is akin to asking the dog who ate the cat food.

  • @zwiiyt

    Wasting my time with you.

Go away until you get a brain worth using.

    It could be some time.....

  • @zwiiyt

    ??

I am a homo sapien and I think for myself. I also exhibited empathy without religion.

You exhibit hatred within your religion.

    What are you?

  • Strange how atheists write "RIP"... According to atheists, when someone dies, they are just dead and decompose.. "Rest is peace" refers to a person's soul (ie belief in the after life)... Atheists don't know what they believe..

  • Comment removed

  • @imax1971

Moron, you are... nevermind, you are hopeless.

  • @chinchek How am I "hopeless"?

  • @imax1971 If I were you, I wouldn't even waste your breath. we both know where hicthens ended up at. and it's sad.

  • @CALIMADE916 We don't know. Only God knows...

  • @imax1971 Not necessarily. You're reading too much into that phrase RIP, or rest in peace from a religious perspective. There is no greater peace than simply the cessation of existence (your own). It is a complete tabula rasa, where needs + wants fade into nothingness. Now, granted, this may not be true for those still living, either hating or admiring this person, or somewhere in between. Atheists simply do not believe in a conscious afterlife after death.

  • @imax1971 Surprisingly believers differ by more than 100% on what they believe about god. Not surprising when there are more the 35,000 sects of christianity in this world.

  • @zwiiyt

In the same way.....the world doesn't care that a prat just commented.

    Go and suckle a teat.

  • imy :( ♥

  • RIP

  • @DachkeHalil I am sorry to say there is no peace where he is going. Its less peaceful and more infernal.

  • @smithbrain And your comment just goes to illustrate that, compared to Hitch, you have a duck egg between your ears.

  • @smithbrain Shut your fucking mouth you moral midget.

  • @TheHerpaderpderp I am quite tall actually. But if you don't believe in hell as I am assuming then why do you care?

  • @DachkeHalil

    I am sorry...but rest where??

Hitch would be offended by this.

He will be worm fodder and pleased to be so.

  • correction..GOD IS GREAT. THANK YOU.

  • @jjjayjay

I presume that [he] told you that.

    Fool.

  • @jjjayjay Final correction God Is Not.

  • He was a great man. Determined, with a highly ordered mind. Hitchens will be remembered for all he accomplished. RIP

  • "Have a pint with Mr. Hitchens."

Well I can scratch that off my bucket list. RIP sir.

  • Hell is being separated form God.

Hitchens said he wasn't ready to die...of course he wasn't !

  • That nigga is dead.

The real question now is what about Hitchen's brother? His sibling is a Christian and thus probabily thinks he'll never see his brother again, since he's in hell.

  • @UncannyRicardo

Very Christian of you, on the death day of a free thinker....

    His very point in life!!!

  • @Gangly1

Whats Christian of me? Usually Christians don't consider me like them, maybe because of a catholic upbringing (kinda).

  • @UncannyRicardo

Errmmm...so as a Catholic...you do not consider yourself to be a Christian??

    I pity you.

You are demeaning a person that died recently, yet have no idea about your own faith.

    No need to reply.

You made "Hitch's" point perfectly well.

    Thank you.... sheep.

  • @Gangly1

Not really. From my "experiences" in my community (you could say) the term "christian" typically referred to the protestants, religious fundamentalists, or churches.

I don't mean to demean anybody, different people handle things in different ways.

" yet have no idea about your own faith." Funny, from a certain view that doesn't make seem coherent. How can someone not have an idea about their own beliefs? Every mind obviously has a way of thinking on its own understanding.

    cont..

  • @UncannyRicardo "That Nigga is dead". Very understanding of you. You are following a stereotypically perpetuated myth; driven into you by your (un)chosen preacher. That could be your parents/culture/peer group ..etc. Had you been born on another continent; you would have a totally different [God] and a totally different perspective on what that [God] means to you. How many [Gods] can there be?

    Therefore; you are....a sheep.

  • @Gangly1

    "tereotypically perpetuated myth"

Yea I admit that my "environment" has affected who I am and what I think but that pretty much applies to everything. So to call it a "preacher" seems like a misuse of the word to me. I mean you wouldn't even speak, spell, or read English if it wasn't for society. But what does that type of reasoning have to do with believing in God?

    cont..

  • @Gangly1

I guess a different environment might have given me a different emotional and psychological feeling about God but as a philosophical conception I don't see how there would be any difference. I think I would (given enough understanding) know what the Western Monotheistic God was regardless of culture.

  • @UncannyRicardo You are not born with an inherent belief in a supernatural maker...it is drilled into you...and perpetuated throughout the generations. All religions are based on fear of non-compliance. I can (and do) live my life morally, equitably, honestly and happily, without fear of retribution from an unproven, supernatural being. I didn't get those attributes from anything but my genes. I note that you have yet to apologise for your disgraceful/ungodly comment.

  • @Gangly1

"You are not born with an inherent belief in a supernatural maker" Hmm, that's up for debate cause certain rationalists like Plato and Descartes certainly thought we have innate ideas. But regardless many theologians and empiricists believe that belief or knowledge of God must come about and is not inherently born in us. So I fail to see what attack your making.

Religion is based on fear? Hmm, pretty strong claim there but one that I don't think is largely supported in history.

  • @Gangly1

What point is that exactly? I'd love to hear your reasoning.

sheep? Isen't that a popular word these days. One that typically has more emotional force rather than a logically concluded assertion.

  • @UncannyRicardo so true, we know where he went. Jesus said those that don't believe on the Name of the only begotten Son of God is condemned already.

  • Well he knows now.

  • only blind, diseased hearted fools say their is no God.

  • @hen8167 Telling the truth makes you diseased hearted and blind? Lol, good one

  • @mehico33 what truth?? atheism? so you claim that we everything else just appeared out of nowhere? of course their is a God, an allmighty GOD

  • @hen8167 Nothing just appeared, all species of life evolved, read about biology, evolution, molecular genetics and science in general. You believe in your god through faith, which is the belief in something without evidence. Science is based on fact through evidence.

  • @roac7777 my belief in god is not blind faith. There is all kinds of evidence that tesify of god. Do you claim that everythingin existence evolved into a perfect envirnment for us to live in and sustain us ...here in the earth and in the universe all by itself without the hand of god being involved. ITS impossible without God. All that we have including our complex bodies and the complex universe and the earth are proof that nothing can exist without him.

  • @hen8167 Your "belief" is not true. Do you see that, simply because you cannot understand something does not testify to the existence of a god. The ancients could not understand disease and natural disasters, so they attributed such things to god showing his displeasure. Now, we know what is really going on.

Sure, the universe is a complex place full of so far unanswered questions. But it is laziness to simply say that it is "god's work" and so not have to think any further.

  • @hen8167 Your faith in god is blind faith because there is no evidence for your claims. No one can suspend the laws of nature and science. The environment is perfect for life because of evolution of habitat and life itself. You mention the word complex. That means your god would have to be even more complex. Tell me of one piece of evidence that your god exists.

  • @hen8167

Lol "So you claim that we everything else just appeared out of nowhere?" Thats what religious people think about creation, not Atheist.

  • @hen8167 I didn't claim to know what happened (and neither did Hitchens) but its obvious when someone is making up asinine bullshit (your religion).

I wouldn't claim to be able to disprove general theism but all mainstream manifestations of the personal god (jewish/muslim/christian) are transparently man made and self refuting. Sorry about that.

  • Comment removed

  • @hen8167

Only religion blinds itself to an alternative view. Science welcomes and embraces a challenge.

It was very religious of you to demean the very recently deceased.

Congratulations to you for enhancing the sorrow being felt by his friends and family.

If that is what your religion teaches you to do........please....keep it to yourself.

    You are an ignorant prat.

  • @hen8167 Only fools say they know know what a God has said or what a God is. You believe lies. Admit it.

  • @cameradanblack I BELIEVE in the truth, the truth that their is a living God thats beyond time ans space. A powerful all knowing God.

  • atheism is no more than russian roulette with the soul..if you win..you return to nothing(tragic) and if you lose..realizing there is a place called heaven that your soul desires but your mind chose to ignore, and you are seperated from GOD for eternity and the undescribable feeling o suchf pain and loss..who would take such a risk? a madman would...

  • @2011packattack you talk such shit you pratt.....where,s the proof of your so called god....oh yeah you believe a story written down 250 years after the so called event by a bunch of arabs.....forever on a cloud dressed in white strumming a harp wondering when eternity would come around..ha ha numpty...sounds like hell to me

  • @2011packattack Lol, you're ridiculous. I win, I show you that you're wasting your life. I lose then the universe is revealed to be a holy fleshlight, designed that a giant inefficient, jealous ego can feel good about itself.

The key difference being that there is risk involved in russian roulette.

  • @2011packattack P's W turned on its head. Nice to see that you have given up on it as a justification for your ridiculous belief. The problem is...whichever way you choose...you are gambling on the existence of God. [He] doesn't like gamblers...ie. .he will not like you (as a gambler) or me (as an atheist) either way. In which case it is better to be sensible/rational and logical. It is quite possible (and defensible) to be honest and accept that there is no such [Thing].

  • @2011packattack Gods are imaginary. There is no truth in organized religion. Christianity was invented by the Romans to co-opt the Messiah from the Jews. There is so much information available now about the depict in religions that It amazes me people don't care to research what the truth is. There is only one truth. Humans believe lies and dedicate their lives to propagating the same lies.

  • where did i say i was a Christian ?

  • R.I.P

    He conquered the religious cancer!

I loved to watch him debate, often made his adversary look lost and foolish.

Poor religious fools never got to see him repent on his deathbed!

  • @Desdenova262 god

  • no loss

  • @MrAntiFarLeft If you Christians are so holy and righteous as you say you are, then you mourn the death of your fellow man. All of you are hippo critical assholes (not all, but a good number of you). Don't let some outdated superstition govern your life and when it has gotten to the point where you "pray" for the deaths of others, you should realize how stupid your religion really is. Disregard the prayer thing, nobody is going to hear it anyway.

  • If this is what alcohol does to a person, we should hand it out for free in unlimited quantities....

Thanks Hitch, I'll pour an extra one for you tonight.

  • god is also atheist, he does not belive in other gods. hehehehe

  • peace be with you Galactic accident..

  • people may say 'why pray for a man who does not belive in anything ?" Because if athesits understood the reality of living for eternity without GOD..i shudder just thinking about it.Its the worst tragedy that can befall a man....

  • @2011packattack Probably the stupidest comment on YouTube. I'm not even sure where to start with it. BTW Hitchens was an Anti-theist not just an Atheist.
