Actually Artemus, the way you do that neck wrap causes a lot of unnecessary body movement, due to the way your arm is positioned and the way you're holding the mace. It looks a lot cleaner if you have your thumb pointing towards the ferrule, and it's also a lot easier to get the mace to come around without nearly as much effort.
Hi Andrew I see what you're talking about. The only qualm I have about the ferrule neck wrap is that some people usually have trouble maneuvering around the ferrule.
