His tax cuts are responsible for one third of the deficit, the economic downturn is responsible for another third (an economic downturn caused by the Republican President and Congress).

Taxes on labor IS a form of slavery! I am forced to pay taxes on wages, and I am forced to make wages to survive. I don't know. I'm a government geek. I like new ideas. It's fun to think about. But I can't think of any case for taking away the right of every single American to vote directly in something as important as selecting those one-hundred women and men.
To change the subject, what is the bill that you want your state to pass that other states oppose? You're saying that your state takes a minority position on something. That's states' rights.
I'm sure state legislatures would love to have that kind of power and prestige. The U.S. Senate is made up of 100 extremely powerful men and women.
But who would ever think that our state legislatures are somehow wiser or more deserving than We The People ourselves? Many people hardly pay attention to state legislator elections. Many of them are nice guys but there is simply no way to make a case that they are less corrupt or more disinterested than The People as a whole.
There is an even BETTER approach. Having the U.S. Senate simply be elected directly by The People. That's why the Constitution was amended.
Why go backwards? Why grant Government more power at the expense of The People? That's absurd. It's shocking to suggest that the right to vote be taken away not merely from women, not merely from African-Americans, but taken away from ALL AMERICANS when it comes to electing U.S. Senators.
Except for the laughable #VI, most of these are GOOD things. Change the sinister-sounding music, change the wording of a few loaded phrases, and this would be an excellent ad FOR some GOP candidate!

Also, the CBO itself says that Social Security will start drawing in less than it is paying out as early as next year!

So don't blame congress for Republican spending. Besides Emperor Bush had a Republican Congress for six years and created the record deficit we have now. His tax cuts are responsible for one third of the deficit, the economic downturn is responsible for another third (an economic downturn caused by the Republican President and Congress).

Taxes on labor IS a form of slavery! I am forced to pay taxes on wages, and I am forced to make wages to survive. My very survival depends upon me making a wage, and paying for the things I and my family need. I cannot simlpy choose NOT to work. 1: a method to pay for the social contract that individuals sign when engaging in commerce with society using GOVERNMENT PRINTED, REGULATED, AND VALUED currency
2: a method to keep the government in existence, allowing more money to be printed and regulated and valued. Without it, we'd be trading eggs for laptops.

July 15th 2010 - The Monmouth University/Gannett New Jersey Press Media poll out today finds Christie's job approval rating at 44 percent. The same percentage disapprove of the job he's doing. But only 31 percent give him a good grade for providing tax relief.
About half of those surveyed believe that senior citizens, the middle class and poor will be harmed by the budget.

Now when you condemn someone for using a poll you don't consider "independent" you might want to use an "independent" poll yourself when you come up with your new # of 44%.
The polls #'s I used, RCP takes all the polls into consideration , and yet Mr Chrsitie still puts your messiah to shame.

Look , dude, it is getting late in the game now. People are fed up with Obama and his imperial communist ways. People are not going to take it anymore. Did you check the polls of Christie in April and May? The poll I used was the last poll SIR, not the average of the polls before the last as you did.

Obama's approval rate is not worse than Reagan and Clinton approval rate in the second year (worse than him, but 2 terms presidents). Christie started last February and it's already in deep shit!!!
