That was pretty good for a 1999 project. It goes to show that a good story trumps over the top effects everytime. When the effects compliment the story and don't overpower it, it works better. The Kilrathi fighters were a nice touch BTW. ;)

Yeah, the F/A-18 is still one of the ebst aircraft around. Good use of the TIE Fighter engine noise on those Dralthi. Are those Shadowcats or Mad Dogs on the bridge? They sort of look like a cross between them. One of them looks like a Thor.

Hi, I'm doing a project for a game and was wondering how you did the radio sound effect for the voices. I'm currently recording the voice clean, then equalizing and amplifying it and it sounds pretty good, but not as "realistic" as your sound. I guess you used actual walkie-talkies?

We actually used a standard airplane headset with an adapter to 1/8th in. stereo plug and recorded directly into the computer.

For an amateur film using cg, produced back in '98, it's fucking awesome. So stop whining about the animation quality. Even with rigs x * more powerful today, I doubt anyone whinging about the CG quality could produce anything half as good as this.

The similarity between the enemy fighters and  BSG Cylon raiders is probably very much a coincidence. Considering BSG was released some 5 years later...
