Just watched Aussie PF tonight in Liverpool and they were good. Watching Dave G playing that guitar makes me realise that I'm watching a genius at work. For a moment I think "this guy plays this song really well". Then I realise that he owns it and, whatever way he chooses to play any PF track, he's playing it properly. A modern day Mozart.

@GivenRandy Sadly it was shot on Video (320*200 resolution) Gilmoure himself said that it was a poor choice which he would change in a second if he could. It would take A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOT of work to lift the res for Blu specs, but considering what P.U.L.S.E. is I kind of have a feelin' they'll give it all they got !!!

@GivenRandy I don't think so, as much I would like it. It was originally shot in standard resolution, which is too low for BluRay. To remaster would be incredibly difficult, if not impossible. And if it were, it would be very expensive to purchase. Fortunately, the DVD version is not too bad, so we'll just have to be happy with it.

@GivenRandy No luck - it was shot on video, not film, so the res is very low, there was even a problem putting it on DVD which has a 2.5x higher res that video.

It's not impossible, but would be expensive like Hell - maybe, one day, but not soon ...

I would love this band, but for the others that make it hard through politics or social ostracisation, the will power needed to find the peace of mind to just push play. he's ripping off Jimmy Page a bit, probably always did, I wouldn't know, I didn't need an education I needed politics and social ostracisation. I like this, I'm just a little down.

@ExcelsiorProduction1 Page and Gilmour have VERY different guitar styles. Although I might add they both kick ass electrically and acoustically, and on mandolin, etc. But I've never seen/heard of Page using a lap steel guitar, or Gilmour using a violin bow on his Strat. Very different players, but both legendary and my greatest guitar heroes.

Pink Floyd has accompanied me through the years, and wherever I go, I find people who really enjoy their music. Being a classical musician, I have to turn up my musical system from time to time to play my old PF vinyls. Great!

I've seen Roger solo several times, including The Wall, as well as David's solo tours, but I never had a chance to see the core four play together live. It actually pisses me off that there will never be a STAGE this amazing at a concert ever again. Sure the U2 Claw is awesome (and expensive), but you can't top the lights, visual awe, and fireworks that Pink Floyd had for Pulse. This really is one of, if not THE, most epic concert in rock history.
