The only thing Sasha was missing was consistency! If not, she had it all: technical goods, flexibility, she definitely was a crowd pleaser, she glided on ice, she had a lot of strength and power (especially in her spins) and many more!
I thought that there was very little interpretation here, it seemed VERY mechanical to me. Her Oly version was a huge improvement, in terms of choreography and interpretation.
Yes, certainly the new choreography and music cuts that she used for the olympics were better not to mention the authentic emotion she skated with there. But her interpretation is always head and shoulders above the rest of the ladies.
I don't think she showed any interpretation here. And I don't think she's always, or even usually, "head and shoulders" above the rest of the field. She hits lovely positions, but I find her interpretation to be quite superficial most of the time.
well I guess her interpretation is not cohesive to how you feel the music should be interpreted. things like this are subjective, which is why some people can be deeply touched by some skaters but others don't feel anything. Personally, when I hear the music I picture what she seems to feel, but she takes that to an ever high place for me.
Mao Asada, yes, though she's a bit older than 12. Asada's amazingly good for her age. I think Sasha should have won this particular competition, though.
Such a pretty girl is she.

For some reasons I like how the crowd reacted when she fell on the triple Sal.

She's so slow and her jumps make me tired....but damn she's got amazing spins and that flexibility blows my mind.

Wow I'm speechless watching her footwork sequence, she's so expressive! A true dancer on the ice.

I like the Olympics version of the program better. But her interpretation here, as always is incomparable.

she looks really, really thing here, I have to wonder if she was eating enough that season...
tinymavy 2 years ago
I don't think she looks overly thin. She's naturally very petite, but she still had muscle definition.
courtneysk8s 2 years ago
well shes always super thin and i think its just her body structure. but that could be true hopefully she does have good eating habits!

i like the way she changed the cut of the music before the olympics but the attention to detail in this program is exquisite

Aah This Version Of The Music Is Horrible =|! I Loved Her One For The Olympics Tho, Gd Call On Changing It From This Version Lol

actually there were three mistakes. She two footed her second triple flip and her first triple sal and fell on the second sal.
kwadruple 5 years ago
Only because of that one mistake, she loses to Mao Asada. That sucks, Sasha's performance was so beautiful though.
