  • Thats awsome id like to do something like that to my fog lights on my dodge ram.

  • That's pretty cool. The heatsink behind the headlight is hilarious and inventive.

  • I like your work... Im working on a similar project myself... I work with LED's for a living..... Props to you man and I saw your more refined LED light with the heat sink in the other video... NICE WORK!

  • Im trying to do this for a motorcycle head light

  • I build all my LED lights handmade, all waterproof, and all are running without heat. Have a look on ledmission on you tube and see my Fog lights and i need only one footlight (12 inch) in the middle. Each of them are br ighter as my regular headlights

  • I'm actually going to be building a regulated set similar to this in the very near future, and I was wondering about the LEDs you used in this array. Any chance you could post LED specs or a link to a datasheet? I'm trying to gauge brightness level so I can purchase LEDs slightly brighter than I need and interface a PWM control to adjust brightness level.

  • Its true a normal headlight bulb does run very hot, But go ahead and try to take an LED to 500 deg. Not going to happen. Most LEDs cant go above 100 deg.C. The heat sink is required.

  • @YourGodIsBullShit Why would it go to 500 deg?? LEDs run cool, no need for a heatsink...

  • @discocreator76 You would be wrong in this case the new LEDs on the market are alot brighter then ever before and in order to do that they run alot more power all the powerful led flashlights on the market today have a heatsink and use the body of the flashlight to help even more.

  • No you do not need the heatsink, the stock oem bulbs would create more heat and they don't use that

  • @ndchevy Yes they do run hot and can take it since that is how they make the light a heated filament and a gas to stop it from burning up a led cant take the heat without a heatsink for long term use they dont run the same way.
