@TheRichard586 Hey, the key is how you contact the ball. To be honest, the contact for this serve is extremely difficult and you really need to get the feeling down first. So I would suggest to just practice contact the ball on the upward motion first. Don't worry about whether it goes over or in the net, just focus on getting spin on the ball during the upward motion. Most of your motion must go into spinning the ball and not giving the ball forward momentum. So, just practice and keep in touch
