  • By now you should realize what a fucking idiot you were when you made this... Assuming you haven't sadded out yet.

  • LOL, duty once a month.... Try every 4 days, or port and starboards.

  • this brings back some memories, glad I'm done with all that

  • I like Chromeo in the background. YOU'RE A NEEEEEDY GIRL!

  • So that's how they managed to fit 2 people into those Petty Officer suites.

  • This didn't explain shit about being in the Nuke Program lol. Terrible.

  • now i mahe 180k base

  • duty once a month....go die....get qualified....a real watchstation

  • DAT ASPECT RATIO

  • If you're not qualified, you're dink!

  • Finally I know wht my room will look like, I leave in feb. I'll be a SECF. Not looking forward to being in a sub though.... Is there really a club on base?

  • whats with the pedo breathing?

  • Wait till you work a 48 hour day, painting, and scrubbing the decks. Get qualified NUB!

  • Class of 8305, Orlando Florida. Prototype S5G Idaho Falls, Idaho. 23 year veteran, USS Enterprise, USS Texas, USS Carl Vinson, USS John C. Stennis. Wow, has it changed. I can't believe they let kids like this into the program. The Navy can't be that desperate. Get qualified NUB. Nicer place to live than I ever had.

  • I remember those barracks...

  • *sucks through teeth to sound REALLY gangsta* "Yuu, yuu..! There are some bitches right now". They are male. All are male in the ship buildings but one. Either female, although male, I bet your shipmates loved being known as "bitches" on camera for youtube? It says much about your thoughts. Good to know how you think. After 6 years I invite you post a vid about being a nuke. You will know better, but let me guess...You can't! You failed NNPTC, but I hear the BM's got jobs for guys like you.

  • i wonder how many WOW washouts they have now, back in 2000 when i went through it was "everquest hangovers" that led to guys getting washed out. GET QUALIFIED NUB!!!!!!!!!!

  • this dude is a douche... that's the problem with this base, too many WOW players and not enough decently cool people like his roommate who was going out drinking. way to be roommate, way to be.

  • You must be in the Nimitz building :D I was in that one too; I had my own room though (Petty Officer Suites). Bottom floor... I miss Power School so many memories :]..fleet life really sucks in my opinion-- I highly recommend that you enjoy your time there the best you can.

  • You might want to change the name of this video to A day in the life of Nuke School or something. These old fucks act like theyve never gone through the damn school and like to trash you just because you havent gotten to the fleet yet.

  • That's not base dude... that's "site".

And that's nothing like "nuke life."

    GET HOT NUB!!!

    Silly trollin baby nukes...

  • bitches!? oh yee!!!!!! lol i ship june 8th good lookin out with the video. this is A school??

  • I ship out to basic on Sept. 20th as an NF/Open. It was cool to see some behind the scenes of what A school barracks will be like.

  • @burns1112227 i ship out that exact day for basic. lol. then nuke school

  • @racary100 lol thats awesome. Odds are we'll run into each other in the next 2 years

  • In 1964 I "volunteered" for Nuke school at Mare Island. I had no more business in the program. When I was issued a slid rule I was lost. Fortunate for me I was able to get to the fleet.

  • Good Job buddy..... See u in the Fleet! That's where the real fun begins. The hard part is trying to balance your personal life with your work life and attempt to be a normal sailor. Always remember you are a Nuc, which is a cut above the rest..... Just don't let that get to your head all the time! God Bless.....

  • This has nothing to do with a day in the life. Im soo glad I did my 6 and out as a nuke. Pay is great on the outside! My advice... pick your rate on what you have interest in (electronics ET, electrical EM, mechanical MM. If you go MM and want to go to a carrier...try to get selected for ELT school after prototype. Its additional training that will you the training to be a nuke plant operator, chemist, or radiation controls tech (HP/health physics) all in one. I was an ELT on a carrier.

  • @i23998 i'm workin on becoming an ELT when i get to that point in the pipeline, coming up into power school, but to make ELT any suggestions?

  • @sycsotic Honestly, gettting ELT is a popularity contest. I did't do too well in chemistry section in power school and was selected to be an ELT. The staff ELTs make recommendations for who should go. Im sure there were others academically more deserving, but I am happy I was fortunate enough. Be cool with the staff. Buy some wings or garbage bread (@ NY) for staff. Dont be annoying. If you get picked on more than others, your doing something wrong. Just like HS but in uniform w/ pay.

  • im in power school right now....is the fleet really that bad? i cant see how its worse than sitting on my ass all day in a classroom with a bunch of assholes

  • @Jmsone36 If you go surface... Guess what. You get to do power school all over again with the same exact people. Since power school/ prototype teaches you how to operate a sub plant. You get to start over again learning a surface plant. Surface is an easier work life but more formal and 5700 vs 140 people.

  • @i23998 RT isnt nearly as long and isnt nearly as challenging and a hell of a lot easier to get quals signed. I would expect most out of RT to be at least phone talker qualed

  • Effin' NUB. Go get qualified something.

  • @threeifbyair ^^ -points- You'll get alot of that in the Fleet.

  • you seem like a complete dumbass

  • @jonboliv I read your comment and laughed because Nuke's have to score really well on the ASVAB. lol Hopefully this guy is smarter than he lets on in the video.

  • Why is this called "A day in the life of a Navy Nuke"? You haven't graduated, not in the fleet, not qualified a watch station. You're a wannabe. And you haven't a clue what a real duty day is.

  • @mikeoksbigg does that comment make you feel better and warm inside?

  • @mikeoksbigg Show some fucking respect. At least this isn't one of the "Average day of the douchebag who talks shit on the only thing protecting him" This is one of our sailors, and he shall be treated as such.

  • This is literally the most boring video on YouTube. Take this shit off the internet.

To everyone griping about the program: I'm sick of all this bitching. I hear this all fucking day, every day. It especially pisses me off when I hear people who have RE-ENLISTED bitch about their job. You're not getting extra pay and advancement for a goddamn free ride. Did you honestly think working with nuclear power was going to be a walk in the park?

  • @evangeletto its not hard, its boring and time consuming.

  • He's right get out while you can. The nuke fleet has been the worst experience in my life. I can also say this for everyone(nukes) on my boat. The fleet continues to get worse trust me I've been there for 5 years. I hate to be that guy that said I told you so. Prepare yourself for the biggest load of bs for the rest of your career.

  • get out while you still can! It never ends, the bullshit just piles on and never stop. You set goals to get through these ridiculous schools and then think it'll get easier. Wrong. Its even harder once you get to the boat and it never stops. I'm not saying don't do it but keep in mind that its gonna be hell for the next 6 years

  • Hey man.. Names Spencer. I leave for boot on Jan 4th.. then I head to Nuke school. think I can ask you some questions?

  • Join the Navy and choose well go to Nuke school!

  • Its a school. One that is bitch to get through but you got to play the game. If you can get through Nuke school then you can get through just about anything in the Navy. Week one, I thought I might not be what the Nuke Navy wanted. Nearly 2 years later I some how qualifed RO. The key is to not give up. There were people so much smarter than me that just couldn't deal with the stress. Class 0105.

  • glad you made this video...my son is in SC now and grads in November....he said it was tough work!

  • bunk beds? when did that happen i hope those are the power school barracks cause that blows i had my own room in seawolf hall

  • dont think that it is worth it. it is not. fail out if you can, go conventional. you might hear about how hard the school is... no matter how hard the school is on you, it is still one of the best times you will have in the nuclear navy... dont be confused by this. i am not saying that the school is that good... i am saying the fleet is that bad. get out while you still can

  • They start off at literally the ground, and build on it from there. The material is easy, but they shove it down your throats at such a fast pace, you'll feel overwhelmed until you get into a groove. It's just a matter of how hard you're willing to work for the grades. PS try to be a mechanic when you have to choose in bootcamp because the A school is half as long and you get to be 3rd class longer and all the stuff you get to work on is awesome and involve no wires to bite.

  • HAHAHA bunk beds...that blows. NNPTC never runs out of new and exciting ways to give you the shaft. You know what sucks...you may think A school and power school is hard...just wait till you're a nub in the fleet. Just sayin.

  • It is not that hard, I have been doing it for 8 years. You just have to suck it up sometimes and try. The more people bitch about how hard it is, the more likely they are to fail out in my opinion. The guy that made this vid is a nub still in A School who doesn't know ANYTHING about being a nuke yet. BTW, you aren't a nuke until you get out of prototype.

  • doesnt matter what rate you are, its not that hard, just lots of cramming

  • Sorry, have to say the program is super hard. My husband is at school all the time. Its ranked 3rd hardest school if ur an ET. Right under Harvard Law. But I will say its worth it. Even if you don't stay in the Navy the civy jobs pay like $80,000 starting out. They are the most sot after for jobs.

  • @balsacll... its just a contract... this is what you need to do... just barely pass a school, stay on t-track as long as you can (you will know what i am talking about when you get to it) fail out of power school, then they will send you conventional... it will be painful for you during the school becasue they will make you put in a stupid amount of hours, but the pain will be worth avoiding years of soul draining agony

  • take this down...you're making us all look like douches. I do approve of chromeo though.

  • They say this program is hard.... but is it really that stressful....

  • @patretre Try putting 30 hours of study time a week, on top of 40 hours of class time. Oh yeah, and you have to be a sailor still, so room and uniform upkeep will be loads of fun as well.

  • @doodkabob THANX A MILLION... my recruiters... dont know much about this program at all... all they could tell me is good luck.. i official got my nuc contract august 3rd and i get there in april.. and i really didnt wanna walk in there not knowing anything

  • @patretre I've been here a year. I got my third class three months ago. Message me if you have any questions man. That goes for anyone on here that wants to know more about the nuke program I'll tell you what's up. This shit's hard but worth it

  • @doodkabob so.. when i first get there... how is the work.. is it taught brand new... or is it what we should have learned in school... because, i am from chicago.. (luckily for me i was able to get into a top tier school [top 50 in the state, top 5 in chicago].. but its still just C.P.S (chicago public school))... and the teachers are pretty much limited to what they can teach because of the shitty C.P.S standards....

  • Man, i didn't think they would actually put the bunk beds in the old power school suites, lmao, that blows dick for you guys.

  • Smart man... run go navy NON NUKE

  • Ex-Navy nuc, here -- I got a lot out of the program, but the bullshit is not worth it. If I had it to do all over again, I would not go nuc.

  • Wow, I think I'll do good in A school when I go there after basic. I took my ASVAB, didn't make enough in the nuke section, so I took my NAPT and got good enough in that to make it to the nuke. My entire Navy career is revolving around perseverance.

  • PS, any body have questions, ask me... i wont sugar coat anything

  • ALL YOU FUCKERS JUST GETTIING IN..... HEAR MY WARNINGS AND TAKE MY ADVICE.......FAIL OUT FOR CHRIST SAKE AND SAVE YOURSELF!!! The navy might be ok, but the nuclear navy IS NOT... it is the manifest of the devil, it will slowly drain away your soul until yout are nothing except an empty shell with no ambition. Take it from a guy who's been in it for 8 years, it sucks and is only getting worse... there is no light at the end of that tunnel except EAOS. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!! I warned you

  • @jspikes37 FUCK!!! i just signed my contract yesterday for nuke...

  • Comment removed

  • hmmm I ship Aug, 25th. I couldn't find shit either. Xbox?!? I thought nobody in nuke program had time for xbox

  • @craigjustus oh whaa ! i ship out oct 5 too ! navy nuke yee !

  • @richtownboi510 I'll see you in Great Lakes.

  • i enlisted in october of 2009 and i leave on august 4. im excited to get to boot camp.

  • Dude, make MOAR if you can.

  • lol, I just swore in friday =] I ship out june 15 2011. Kinda sucks I gotta wait. Maybe I should see if I can leave sooner. I made the nuke program, yay!

  • @yadidameng Wait your turn. I enlisted January 18th, and i'm not shipping out until October 5th. Consider yourself lucky that you got in at all. They're shutting down Nuke recruiting here in Nashville, if not nationwide. Like all good things, you'll have to wait for it. My life is literally revolving around the day that I ship out.

  • @disbuylshite Jan 18 was my 21st bday! I know that getting any job with the navy right now is pretty hard. I think it was easier for me to get in since i'm a female and the jobs left around here were specifically for women. The reason why my date is so far is because I thought I was going to continue with 1 more year of college. I'm pretty sure I can get it moved a little bit sooner, I'm hoping for AT LEAST January. Good luck when you go! maybe we'll randomly meet someday lol

  • @yadidameng I ship out a day before you

  • @ArdenPercyval lol LUCKY!! hey, then we'll be in basic at the same time. My recruiter is working on rolling me in next month tho, apparently a spot opened up. I assume he's gotta fight for it. I hope he gets it...

  • lol oh my god, i know people that are in a school right now. my husband's in power school though. This was pretty funny. haha You certainly swear like a Sailor :P LOL "You know what? They're all gonna be answered."

What questions did you answer? What your BEQ looks like? Bahaha that was definitely funny.

(And yea, my husband's on valls :P)

geez, you look familiar! This is awesome.

  • you in NIMITZ?

  • dude those aint bitches, thats some dudes right there

  • I have fucktons of questions of questions about the nuke program. But my recruiter is worthless. Shipping October 5th.

  • @disbuylshite i ship oct 5th 2!

  • Do they still have those crazy acronyms on the tests they give back to you? Such as RHWB, which I'm told stands for Right Horse Wrong Barn. My tests were always littered with them. RHWB means easily enough that it would have been a really good answer, but for a different question.

If they still do, that's awesome. I was class of 0202

  • @pathos1983 YES

On exams, I have had MOTO (master of the obvious), FOK (fusion of knowledge) and I even had a BMMMMMS once (be much much much much more specific).Good times, good times...

  • @IAMME000 I got "WTF" once. Lol

  • btw i live two doors down from you.

  • You can go to mast for this video since you filmed outside your beq btw.

  • i ship in november...im excited and everything but i appreciate the video alot. whatever u are able to tell the rest of us unsure nukes, im sure we'd appreciate any info on it

  • thanks! I'm anxious to get there myself. <50 days until i start my Navy time

  • You guys have bunk beds now?! We had our own rooms when I was there.

  • That's sad man...those were PO suites when i went P-school...and I only finished 7.5 months ago. You had a crow...you had your own room. Anyways, that sucks man and you prob should watch posting this kind of shit...Bailey loves to skull fuck you for something stupid that really doesn't fucking matter
