I saw him in person doing Rigoletto in Philadelphia in 1968 At the end as he discovers it's his beloved Gilda that has been murdered...he cries "Gilda, mia Gilda e morta, ah...la maledizione! he did an incredible A flat. The audience went wild! Best Rigoletto ever!

En su momento esta fue una "denuncia social" ,sujeta,como todas a recriminaciones ,resentimientos y censura...y esta extraordinaria voz la revive como si se tratase-por que no..? de un problema actual. Excelente interpretacion porque lleva al oyente sensible a sentirse tan indignado como el interprete frente a las injusticias sociales.
