In addition to that noise, if they are moving VERY slowly you will want to check your serpentine belt. A loose/worn belt usually causes the stated problems with wipers because of a lack of electric power. If everything with the belt is fine, then it is your wiper motor.
yes, it's like a annoying lawnmower noise. when i move the wipers up and down by hand they go down but don't go up on their own. besides buying a new motor that i was told which is the issue, could it be something i can do to fix it or just replace it which is what i'm prolly gona do.
