I wish the jerks that towed my s2k would've used this set up. Instead the morons just towed me from the rear with no dollie. Now the underside of my front bumper is grinded down to a 45 degree angle. I can't wait til their day comes in court!

This type of tow truck is used throughout Europe. And, yes, they can load a vehicle with locked brakes. Wench pulls the truck under the vehicle, after which the vehicle's tires slide relatively easily on the truck's metal bed. I've seen them load crushed vehicles (from accidents) with missing tires, axles, and similar.

There is one significant danger. Some lazy operators rely solely on the winch cable and do not secure the vehicle further. In an accident, the loaded vehicle is thrown.

I was a real smart ass to him and said him and his partner look like laurel and hardy.. we were just spitting distance from the city hall/ cop shop.... they found a bottle of booze in my car.. they told me they will turn around and look at my DL and if it's gone when they are done they will let me go.. Probably the coolest cops I ever got pulled over by... I felt bad about being such a smart ass at first but I figured I was already goin downtown.. lol..

i had a camaro with ground affects. One day i snapped the front right A-rm. needed a tow and told the lady on the phone for a low jack. ends up sendng a flat be with out this set up.ppissed off. but got it on with no damage. i like this setup. have not seen i it here in MI before.

i use one of these all the time. they are great. but you have to use it atleast once a day or the lever will get dirt in it and stick. but other than that its awesome
