Just beat this w/ my buddy today, and it's a great, solid game. If you love games like Diablo, etc, and Middle Earth it's a great game. Though yes, as you play you pick 1 of 3 heroes, and the computer controlls the other 2. Or you can do co-op, and have tons of fun working together!

this game is fucking ridicoulus. it says normal difficulty every time you start, but there is no way to change the fucking difficulty. the combat is the most stupid ive ever seen, shitty, retarded. the enemies are OP as fucking hell, they'll fuck your ass up in in like 4/5 hits. and don't even get me started on the bosses... this game is one of the most shitty LotR ones, its an insult. just a waste of time and money.

I just bought a copy of the game on PS3. Looking forward to seeing how the game is. I do agree with most though. Battle for Middle Earth 3, would be killer. My personal view, I 'd like to see the Two Towers and the Return of the King, kept exactly like the Xbox/PS2 versions were, but with full 1080p graphics for both the cinematics as well as the game play itself.

It is a linear hack n' slash action-RPG (NOT open world) that supports multiple playthroughs of the campaign and has two challenge missions which are just grinds with no reward. It is in the same format as past games made by this company (EX: Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, Champions of Norrath). It has 2-3 player co-op online and offline. Strong emphasis on loot and co-op play in this game; very addictive to people who like the genre.
