  • USA "ok so I designed a really sweet attack plan which i'm calling attack plan alpha, like alpha dog *barks*. I think it makes use of our strengths in the best way posible. Britian goes in suicidal, it's your charge of the light brigader-team. France gives up without a struggle. And for Russia, keep sending us your cannon fodder. You'll draw the guns away... from me."

Russia "Hold on. Question. What are you going to be doing America?

USA "Good question. I'll do what I do best... BE THE HERO."

  • Battle of Britain 10 July – 31 October 1940 Britain and Canada against Germany and Italy.

Outcome : The Battle of Britain marked the first defeat of Hitler's military forces, with air superiority seen as the key to victory.

Shut up america you can't take credit when you waited out until all the other nations where weakened!

  • @DaleWF10 We can take credit since we were one of the major combatents in that war. America was part of the allies, the allies won the war. the US, UK and USSR were the big three countries fighting that war, but to say any one of them can't take credit is just stupid. I should point out that russia didn't enter the war until 6 months before the US did. The only reason UK was in the war from 1939 was because it had to stick its nose in everyones business, which the US gets flak for doing today

  • @CodArk2 Britain joined the war because hitler was taking over Europe there was a treaty signed which meant he couldn't invade poland

But germany invaded poland so Britain and France declared war, the USSR can take more credit than UK and the US because they did the most 10 million russian soldiers died and they where closing in on Hitler which forced him to take his own life!

  • @DaleWF10 I know why WW2 started, but why are americans considered cowards, and waiting out other nations. Why would we have defended poland, a country half a world away? It wasn't our concern. The USSR can take a lot of credit on the european front, though without the US and UK they would have had a much tougher go of it. Hitler had to fight a two front battle. The US was won the pacific war, pretty much single handedly. The US was the only winner to fight two fronts, the others only fought 1

  • @CodArk2 It's not that just alot of americans seem to think they won the war by themselves, there wasn't many americans in Europe the only battle they took part in was D-day

And because hitlers plan was to dominate the world britain was the only country in Europe not to have fell under nazi control

If britain had of lost the battle of britain then Hitlers would of had control of Canada (As they where part of the Britsh empire) And there next target would of been the US

  • @DaleWF10 America didn't win the war by ourselves, any educated american knows that is not true. We did a lot more than just D-day in europe though, on the western front we did a lot of fighting, though not all. It was US troops meeting up with the russians in germany. If britain had fallen, the US likely would have protected canada, after all, iceland was under denmark then, and they were unoccupied by germany

  • @CodArk2 Germany didn't attack iceland or greenland because it wouldn't of not been a smart thing to do them it is too cold and wouldn't of been of any use!

  • @CodArk2 If it were no for the USA Britain and the rest of Europe would have been speaking Russian Thank you America from Scotland.

  • @strathpipe are u retarded? the war was almost over before america joined, i don't remember it being 99% of america flying around during battle of britain

  • @oiReWiin Listen cretin you just be thank full Germany declared war on America or we would be toast and you know it. The battle of britain was won by Scots english free french and poles and the rest but mostly by radar and you can thank a Scot for that...Numpty Like the rest of your kind you are in denial

  • @strathpipe who gives a fuck you idiot i said it wasn't american that was in battle of britain i didn't say shit about scots or french i'm talking about americans try not to go of topic dickhead and your comment still proved my point america wasn't involved in battle of britain

  • @oiReWiin Wash your mouth out hard case you dim git you were implying that you did not need the Americans. The battle of Britain was just that a battle it's not the same as winning the War as I said you ungrateful bastard instead of bad mouthing the Americans you should be thanking them. What a dummy.

  • @strathpipe lol don't tell someone to wash there mouth out then start swearing you reject. it was battle of britain that gave us air superiority and stopped the Germans attacking Britain. so yeah we didn't need them, they joined late and after battle of britain happened, i thank the countrys that was in briatin defending it not people who say they won the war when they had nothing to do with defending us. and battle of britain was a huge turning point in the war fyi. so stfu

  • @oiReWiin Regarding me swearing I believe in treating morons in like. You say the Americans joined late? as if they had no choice in who they supported? The Americans even before the joined (late)! were feeding this country and sending them armements. In any case there is no educating a Fool so I shall bring this to an end imbicile. Now dim one go pish against the Wind. God bless the good old USofA and Scotland for giving us radar and winning the Battle of Britain. :-) ta ta.

  • @strathpipe "pish in the wind"???? yeah your right there is no educating a fool

  • @oiReWiin There were many American pilots volunteered in the Royal Air Force for the Battle of Britain risking loss of US citizenship to protect the British.

There were also some Americans in the British Home Guard.

    I am Filipino btw.

  • Let's be honest though; britain and America aside, we owe most of it to the russians for busting their ass more than anyone.

  • AMERICAN ENTER THE WAR AFTER THE AXIS ARE LOSING!! USA troops came in the war in europe 1942 AFTER THE BRITISH HAD WON IN EGYPT 1941!! And the russains were winning in the EAST 1942!! THE AXIS WERE DOOMED ANYWAY!! America only made the defeat happen sooner THEY REPLACED BRITISH DEAD AND RESERVES WHERE AS AXIS POWERS HAD USED ALOT OF THERE RESERVES!!

  • @martynrobin121 America was helping the allies before with land lease act, giving trucks, tanks, airplanes and supplies to the UK and soviets. The soviets only entered in mid 1941, the US entered at the end of 41. IN addition, like many you forget that WW2 was not only fought in europe, but in the pacific as well, where the US did most of the fighting. The US was the only major combatant with many forces on two fronts, neither the UK or USSR fought a 2 front war like the US did.

  • @CodArk2 I KNOW THEY WERE SUPPLYING RUSSIA.BRITISH EMPIRE and it was vital! And like many you americans forget the british empire was also fighting in europe,britian,africa,asia,middle-east,Pacific And yes america did do most of the war in the pacific against japan and russia did more in europe! And british empire was fighting on very front Africa,India,Burma,Pacific,Britian,Europe our forces were all over the world! British empire was all over the world fighting

  • @martynrobin121 America was every where as well. Every where the British went the Americans went. VISE VERSA. Except Britain, only sent of a couple thousand men in the Pacific. Everything helps, but you cant act like Britain was the Number 1. US was also in North Africa. But that's where most of the British were. So they get credit. And US gets credit for the Pacific.

  • @AfroGangsta10 The U.S didnt arrive till 1942, After the British had humiliated Rommel and the Axis at Al Alamain, The British were also fighting the Japs at India,Burma. Yes your correct the U.S was with the British just about everywhere they went mainly Italy,D-Day-Berlin. The British took the North and the U.S took the South(Nobody lead). The British didnt have the manpower to make an impact in the Pacific, India was there main goal against the Japs.

  • my cat was in ww2 . he won the war tough

  • america did end ww2 and u no that because the allies were being destroyed until the states joind in even befor the us entered the war we sent supplies to england

  • @lewisaustin74 you are a fucking ignorant piece of shit that should learn some actual history

  • I am sure that Roosevelt was perfectly aware that in declaring war on the empire of Japan he was, by default, also declaring war on Germany. It is no secret that Britain simply didn't have the hardware or personel to defeat Germany and its allies and the only reason we were not invaded is that Hitler changed his mind, the battle of Britain may have been effective in deterring the Luftwaffe but I doubt very much that we would have been able to repell a concentrated effort by landforces.

  • It is untrue that America had no involvement in WWII prior to Japan's attack on Pearl Harbour and Roosevelt's subsequent declaration of war on Japan. Roosevelt had already spent well over a year finding and creating political loopholes that would enable America to aid the Allied plight whilst retaining its neutrality, the "Cash and Carry" trade policy was a prime example of this. America had no choice but to declare war on Japan after the "Day of Infamy" and thank god that it did.

  • Hitler was an Idiot for sure......How can anyone, who knows anything about WWII, look at the beating Russia took at the Hands of the Nazis and declare that they had won anything. It was the German's tactical withdraw from Russia and not a decisive defeat that allowed Russia to advance towards Germany. Other than Kursk, The kill ratio was absolutely in the Nazis favor. 1:16.......Yeah, Who lost on the eastern front?

  • Please respond, oh WW2 buffs.

    Was the Battle of Midway

A: The decisive demonstration of America's naval superiority?

B: The most extraordinary fluke in the history of modern war.

I lean toward fluke but I am not entirely sold on it as arguments for A, especially our Intel, are very strong.

    Or pick another option.

  • It is interesting to point out that after Pearl Harbour Roosevelt only declared war on Japan and not on Germany. Hitler was the one to declare war on the USA.

The thing is that no country wanted to fight Germany who whose tactics and technology were superior to the allies, evident by Britain's and France's policy of appeasement proir to the war.

I believe that if Japan hadn't attacked Peral Harbour, then America wouldn't have joined the war. However, their involvement was crucial.

  • @6XMachine Hitler likely declared because they were required to as part of the Triparte Act. When we declared war on Japan, Hitler was bound to declare war on us, it seems

it is well known Hitler didn't want war with America. In fact his Generals (and even Hitler) were holdng their breath that Chamerberlain would cave because the German army wasn't anywhere near being able to mount a protracted European offensive.

  • There is no doubt that America's involvement in WW2 hasten the downfall of Hitler...

but it did not CAUSE Hitler's downfall. Hitler was so incompetent as a military leader (and in every fashion) the Nazis had no prayer of winning.

  • @mongoose704 I think it did have alot to do with his downfall....he commited suicide right as we were knocking on his door

  • Actually the Russians were knocking on his door.

I don't discount that America hastened it...

but we only hastened the inevitable. Hitler was a megalomaniacal moron. God god was he stupid, lol.

  • MEDAL OF HONOR!!!!!!

  • Rome total war music lol!

  • yep :P

  • music of medal of honor pacfic assault flying boys i think but it was from medal of honor pacfix assault

  • Medal of Honor Music

  • what about poland? france, battle of britain which was a HUGE turning point in the war and was won thanks to the poles.

  • I intend to cover those in later episodes. this was mainly dedicated to the americans entering the war, and a few other happenings at the time. Polish freedom fighters are certainly note-worthy, and often got the shaft from both sides which is sad. But they are certainly a testament to hope, probably being one of the hardest hit nations in ww2

  • @strongman325 R u serious. no poles did not win the war, They lost so easly to the germs, even france.

  • @strongman325 poles didn't do shit in the war or the battle of britain what are you talking about?

  • Weird..... the video changed.... I never put that crappy windows movie maker effect on there, how could that possibly change AFTER uploading?

  • NOTE: Watch this video on HQ, otherwise there is a weird glitch.

  • The Marching At the end is Sick.

But im sure some of it is soviet.

  • Kinda. There is a shot of a polish division. the uniforms were supplied by the USSR, they just changed insiginia, etc.

  • I saw Red Sqaure too.

and were can i get this song?

  • the final song is called "melee cafe" from the game Rome: Total war. Type "Jeff van dyck" in google, the first link brings you to the composers page, look under music clips, the rome total war stuff is there.

The first song is from Medal of honor: allied assault. it doesnt have a name, but if you wanted the file name I can also post that.

  • Thats ok, im just gonna get the MP3 Of the full video through Zamzar.

  • ok cool. quality is better is you get it from his site, but its up to you, haha.

  • god bless all of those men that gave up their lives so i can be hear today in a free and powerful country

  • This would be alot better if there was some narration. Nobody is explaining what is going on in this video.

  • Most of it was on a documentary already. This is more for the 'Hooah' appeal of world war two, but at the same time being chronologically accurate

  • Great video!

A thing that is sad in russian now i think -

    sad? more terrible.

Russian are now "going" Natzi... i mean, how can they turn they back to their own people?

  • Very good Video, and good song

  • Nice vid but as usual, where WWI & WWII are concerned Australia is over looked which is sad considering our extreemly large contribution to both conflicts.

Nice vid all the same mate ;-).

  • I agree. infact, there is a lot missing. this was actually an american propaganda movie made in 1945. I am making another sequal video, I'll see if i can find any austrailian footage.

  • Good man thanks you:-)

  • Australia is usually just thrown under England along with India and Canada

  • Ya. I'm canadian, and we were indeed a very important force in almost every battle the british fought (notably D-day, battle of britain, and the entire Italian campaign), however, we are usually seen as simply a 'commonwealth' force, one of the many contributing.

  • I know the feeling. I to am Canadian, and it sort of sucks that countries like Austrealia and Canada get shafted when it comes to commerating our war heros.

  • A good counter-measure would be to claim that "America entered the war in 1939".

  • well Secretly the U.S was already hunting subs in late 1940

  • Thanks for this hint. Are there books mentioning or describing this hunt ? I suppose it was essentially part of protecting convoys to Britain. Was it just locating U-Boote, so that Allied naval forces could sink them? Or did the (then neutral) US go as far as attacking German U-Boote?

  • there might be some Books.

my Grandfather in earlyer 1941 was in PBY's looking for U-Boats sunk one about 300 miles off the coast of Florida. they dropped 2x 500 pound bombs on the Sub at night they never saw it again. but were told to keep silent about it. they would also send info back to England,.

  • Good job. Dropping 2x 500 pound bombs from a neutral ship on a U.Boot at night was surely an accident during a drill:-)

My great uncle was doing the same target practice from a destroyer in the Mediterranean. These small ships were efficient killers.

  • Neutral Ship? what are you talking about?

a PBY is a aircraft lol.

  • Thanks for the info. I had no reason to know the meaning of that abbreviation, "PBY", than you to be familiar with a "MS406" or a "D520". Let's see OK, it's a Catalina flying boat. Anyway, for the U.Boot it amounted to the same, and that's what counted.

  • dude, WE LOVE! you guys, britain talks about all of its allies, britain is used when describing the commonwealth, england is describe for englishmen. dont fell sad, we helped each win the war mate, hope i helped yah feel better.

  • Actually, doing a bit of research, Austrailia is shown in one of these clips. At 5:04, shows some austrailian soldiers running over a hill, then followed by new zelanders, south africans, and then canadian soldiers.

  • nice video dude & nice medal of honor song...

  • from 4:26 onwards are really good

  • I like the last couple of minutes especially. Thanks for the vid.
