I was thinking of a trailer that could serve the homeless here is how it could work, trailer collapses for highway use the trailer opens into basically a hammock stand with ability to have tarp over for incliment weather the device would be steaked out when camping. Gear to carry willbe 30 lb inflatable sea eagle sport kayak 5 gallons of water solar panel when in motion a decent 12 volt deep cycle battery usually veryheavy can serve the bike with its led lighting for night moves. See my favorits
Oops !!! Poor Kid, Is okay his hands? so.... But Your Tralier is good. Make a box frames for solar and battires with Electric bike. I give five stars for poor kid.
A Google search on " CargoBicycleTrailer . com" results in a warning: "This site may harm your computer." What's the point of posting a video here whose title includes a bum steer to a site that might be serving up malware or viruses?
hey there great video, i bought a norco bike trailer that a person would use to pull around their children, i gutted the child seats and what i have is a flat area on the trailer to haul my camping stuff(sleeping bag, tent, cooking utensils, small backpack with clothes, small cooler for food and water, etc.) also has a cover so nothing gets wet when it rains, so when i take my bike trip i can set up my tent and basically camp along the way at campsites. great little tailer you're building.
I'm from Denmark where cars and fuel have been heavily taxed for decades. Thus bikes are a real mean of transpotation here.
Really good, light bike trailers are sold over the counter here (Google "cykel trailer" or "cykelanhænger" to see some).
In winter it's dark and wet (as I suppose it is in Canada), so some reflectors/lights and mud guards would be good on your trailer. Good job - wonder how it looks after another year's designing ;-)
... can the axle be moved back and forth? Those holes in the chassis seem to suggest you might be able to.
Apart from its fuel-efficiency, one of the greatest features of the bicycle is its ability to carry several times its own weight. In contrast, a car can't carry its own weight in cargo. I feel that the trailer has an even greater potential in this regard. A cargo:trailer weight ratio of ten is quite achievable I believe.
1) Make frame dismantleable - unsurpassed in terms of its modest storage space requirements.
2) Place for lights/reflectors.
3) Optional fenders or at least a nod to those who want to add fenders.
4) Is it strong enough to carry two full tubs? I crossbeam/triangulation would interfere with the tub-carrying, but would add a lot more rigidity, I would imagine.
5) I used a universal joint as the hitch to my trailer, and I must say that it's brilliant.
holy crap you look like my friend david in buffalo ny

great video. here's somthings you should do to make it better.
1.make somthing on the bottom of it so the wheels can mount on to it so its really easy to pack away and you know where everything is.
2.put little lights on the back of it and on the sides of it so people and drivers can see you and your trailer
3.make the trailer bigger so it can hold more weight
4.try using thicker pieces of metal so its stronger

Anyway, congratulations on a fine design.
