Are you from the states? If not where are you from and where are you currently living? Where did you have your surgery? Yes, I know...alot of questions. The hair cut looks good.
You're exactly right. Everyone's journey is their own and what works for you works for you. Like you said, you have to do the best with the situation you have. What we all do have in common, is we're here for each other no matter how we get there :) You're doing great!!!
it also made me wonder if wls patients EVER exercised before surgery. We all have to ask ourselves that and become or BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE. Congrats on your weight loss and for being REAL with yourself and with us here on the "tube".
i plan to post a video with more thoughts about wls patients and the need/benefit of exercising along with how EASY it is to get in 30 minutes of exercise daily.
Keep Rockin' and feel better. Oh and your hair looks cute! Onward!
no judges here. I am 4 day post op from lap band surgery. last night i felt super full rm 6 spoonfuls of broth and i decided to put on my socks and sneakers, put the collar on our dog Penny and hit the pavement in around the neighborhood. I met our new neighbors, i walked on streets that i had only driven down in the past, i cried cuz i want to do this "natural too" and make it a life change with a little help from my band. crying allowed me to reconfirm that i am doing the right thing.
You hair looks sooo cute. I just want to say, I am not judging at all and I understand that your in a foreign country and that the "health" food isnt readily available. But, I have the DS (which the first portion is the VSG) and I am now @ 5 months and the restriction is not like it used to be. Your tummy does stretch. So instead of white rice, try brown rice etc. still have what you want in moderation but remember that your portion size WILL change. Im SHOCKED at how much I eat now. Good Luck
I know nothing about what you are supposed to eat after WLS, but I 100% agree with you about eating what you want in moderation. That is the ONLY way I was able to lose 66 lbs last year. I applaude people who are disciplined enough to eat healthy food all the time. That's awesome! But in my reality, it was always just a setup for failure. Small, manageable changes. And allow yourself to make mistakes. Just smaller portions and better balance. Anyway, I think your doing awesome! Love you, Mir!
I would hope that know one judge...you look so great enjoy your journey sweetie it is your journey!!!live your life to the best you can and rem. to stop and be happy step by step...love rosemary
Your hair looks cute short and your face looks so much smaller. This is your journey and you have to do what works for you. I think intuitive eating is probably the best way to go long term. Congrats on your weight loss!
8 1/2 lbs in 2 weeks is AWSOME! I can pretty much eat anything I want too.... pasta still bothers me some and salad. I can eat bread ok. I've been banded since 12/8/08 and lost 37lbs so far!!! whoohooo!
Anyways I'm glad you made this video as I'm having the same experiences as you are! :-) Keep up the good work!
Hey girl, I can almost "ditto" everything you said when talking about my first couple of months. I don't judge you in the slightest. There have been many times when I feel as though I have "tested" my surgery. I too didn't exercise for the 1st couple months. These last 2 months I have and I'm noticing such a difference already. I've also changed my mindset on food. Even though we are capable of losing eating wrong, in long run, bad fat food will clog arteries, etc. Makin a video 4 u. out of room

honesty is the best policy.. you are documenting YOUR journey and we are learning from each other not judge each other and to encourage each other.
