@simukeng I find that funny..because, I saw them on November 4th this year, and Tate was sporting leather pants, a leather vest, some big sun glasses, and he was bald. Looked just like Halford..I swear. XD
@cribbson I fully agree. The feeling and expression behind the music is simply not there. I still think they have a decent sound... but the magic is simply not there anymore.
chris degarmo was an integral part of the queensryche sound. He was a main songwriter and listen to those awesome vocal harmonies he brought...they haven't been the same since he left. I agree Geoff is an amazing singer...but they just really haven't recovered since chris left.
@Dying2Know i dont understand why thats what you say, Geoff Tate not only is the heart and soul of queensryche but has 10x more talent. so i say Geoff fucking Tate!
I knew of several gorgeous exotic dancers (strippers) who worked the same clubs as us in the 80's. I was with top 40 cover bands. Met a few strippers who were die hard Ryche fans. Silent Lucidity invited more girls to the party for the Ryche. But ya...mostly guys...Maiden and Priest fans were into Ryche early on.
Operation Mindcrime is on par with Pink Floyd's "The Wall" studio album, subsequently made into a movie. In fact, I wish QR would have penned a deal to make "Mindcrime" (as it is affectionately known) into a movie. Regardless, I've spent countless hours listening to this record...and loving the entire story that's told.
Queenryche rocked, but they were just too dorky. De Garmo and Jackson were pretty cool, but it seemed like the other guys were really trying to fake the look. Tate's look was horrendous, even for the 80s. I've never met a chick who was into the Ryche - total sausage band. It must be the Sci-Fi angle.
Queensryche as this unit was magical and never beaten as the best artists ever. I worship the Church of the Ryche. I will never tire of them. They are my angels.
consider he's near the end of a VERY long, powerful performance. he needs to tone it done a little so as not to kill his voice. and if you ask me, he did fantastic. very close to the record.
my gf just broke up.. pretty sad story, but I find comfort in this song. it's a savior on hard times like these.. and what a kick ass song either way you look at it! great rock'n roll, beautiful..
Dude you should listen to the song Stars by Hear n' Aid. It's so empowering.Geoff Tate also sings in it along with other metal musicians like Ronny James Dio, Rob Halford from Judas Priest and many others
typed don,t believe in love . this where it broth me. this good.

Since Chris De Garmo left the band,,,hm,,,the road went down.
After all those years of magic,,,it died.
Its like Angus Left AC/DC,,,its not the same,,,songwriting,,lyrics.
Queensryche in present sucks,,,this is amazing....word.

0:07 That face!!! Hahaha, that's the kind of madness I love in Rock & Roll.
GEOFF TATE is one of a kind person, such a passionate singer, one of the most theatrical singers ever! A true artist overall!
P.S. Queensrÿche were pioneers in something and that tells a lot. I do believe in the love of their music! ;)
