'Islamophobe' is not a word I recognize. In Western culture religions ARE philosophies and may be discussed and critizised as any other philosophy. I prefer the term 'Muslimphobe' which would indicate (like 'anti-semitism' for Jewish persons) an inerrational fear/hatred of Muslim PEOPLE. Which I don't have!

I only say, this is too complicated for any one side to be so sure they are right. But I agree, Israel's claims that the land is theirs by divine right, are unfounded. By political rights, they got the support, whether right or wrong. But what is being done in violation of human rights is wrong.

I am not a Muslim, but I love the message of Islam. It is peace. It is what Mohammad wanted more than anything else, to ensure his people survived. And then he was murdered for his beliefs. That is a martyr. He died at the hands of another, because he was true to his beliefs.

Jihad is mostly the inner struggle. 13:40, 42:40. What of ibadah and the hadith of al-Ghazzali? If you can master and destroy the 13 enemies you cannot see, then will you be ready to fight those you can. Is this the case? I am not your enemy, I support you in Islam, but be wary of what cause you claim to support. Some causes wear the face of divinity when in fact they are as culpable as those they seek to destroy.

Sorry, yes he fell ill. I was just reading recently about Umar and Uthman and Ali and got mixed up. But Mohammad still was a man of peace and had it not been that the Quraysh tribes would not leave him in peace, he would have led a completely peaceful life.

All verses have multiple meanings as they do in the Bible and the Torah/Talmud. But the important thing to remember is WHY these prophets were given these words, what was the intention? To bring peace. Jihad is more an inner struggle than an outer struggle. And there is no such concept as a Holy War described anywhere in the Qu'ran.

I can't argue the details of the Qu'ran with you. As I said, I am not a Muslim, but I do see it as a religion of peace and like the other religions Allah/God gave to man, it is intended to unify, not divide. So all I can say is, assalamu alaikum. I truly mean this. Peace is wonderful.
