It annoyed me the way it gnawed the bars of its metal cage every night to file its teeth down. I couldn't sleep, so I ignored it and it died of neglect. That was the end of me ever having, or wanting, a pet.

@MICKMYMICK1 I was too young in my development as a human to think of selling it or giving it away. I can tell you I am much more of a cat person than a dog person. When I was very young, maybe 5 or 6, I got scared by a dog barking. I've hated dogs ever since.
