  • Dude what techniques u recommend to play like that? That sound is killin me cuz I really want to understand how to play like that

  • Sweet! Imma work on this. I loved everything you did. Great interpretive articulation of a old ass hymn LOL! wHERE YOU FROM.

  • holy f2ck! menn...you just killed me. Now I´m having self confidence-issues!

  • Super Tight!!!~~~

  • The bass line is tight too!

  • 0:37-0:42 was nasty i like that

  • Below, someone has commented that "the beautiful hymn took a back seat to the sound and skills"....I would say, we need to bear in mind that this is an instructional video teaching specifically about piano playing techniques; so I don't think there is any issue. That observation might be more relevant if we were observing an actual public performance. Anyway, I'm sure this very talented player has the musical judgement to find the correct balance when it comes time to present it publicly...

  • great sound, excellent skills, but the beautiful hymn took a back seat to the sound and skills...was that the intention?

  • Wow! I've heard Blessed Assurance reharmonized in the jazz idiom before. Most notably off of Bis. Hubert Powell's 1994 release, Thank You for Your Touch. Your interpretation brings that Neo_Soul Gospel funk aspect to the table. I'm luvin' it, doc

  • 1:38 Done deal!!

  • sick!!!

  • love it and a wicked backing track!

  • A Real Rhodes!!

  • Yes please break down the chords :)! ...until then I'll try pause and rewind ;)

  • I AGREE A BEAST...BUT I have a favor for those of us who are trying to learn..Could you break down the chords for me please...thanks so much...

  • yea man this is some sweet stuff. Do you have the changes? I'd like to arrange this for a jazz combo.

  • Listen, what's the best keyboards to play off, 61, 76,or 88 keys, specially when your doing things like what you are doing does it make a difference?

  • I prefer weighted, for piano-sounds. Most weighted-key.boards only come in 88-keys models. Except for the new Yamaha S70XS and the Nord Stage models. I would suggest a Nord Stage over a Yamaha Motif or Yamaha S XS keyboard.

  • I noticed your question while watchin this lesson. It shouldn't make a difference unless you really want to expand on some of the runs this guy is doing on the piano. The other difference you might find is that a lot of the 88's have weighted keys to give more of a piano feel. So if you like the weighted keys better, you'll want to get an 88. I have a 76 because I like to go up + down the keys. If I could find an 88 without weighted keys that sounds good, I'd get it. Other than that, duznt mattr

  • yeah yeah decent chord s still bless

  • yeah man..nice all the way threw..my personal fav was the runs @ the end
