the only reason why bmw m3 does well around the track is due to it being a two door and mainly a sports car. The c63 in this vid is the 4 door. it makes a huge differents on it being a 4 door. The c63 has alot more power and more torque and will be morer beneficial in the city. u guys should compare it to something similar: C63 coupe vs the m3. even the clk 63.

Pt 5. that the AMG may get it by 1 or 2 ft in a straight line but its nowhere near as fun to drive as the BMW. In conclusion all AMG did is strap a big V8 to a decent chassis and made it feel like a corvette in a straight line. As outlined below The refinement of the important components isnt really seen compared to what the M division went through in designing the M3. They dont call it the Ultimate Driving Machine for nothing.

Pt 4. DCT has Launch Control which is amazing with the lightning fast gears. Also has the limited slip settings on the differential so unlike the AMG which stability control is always in the way and if you turn off you might die. The Bimmer has a preset tune to where it allows the perfect amount of slippage without the traction control being obtrusive. BMW's 8800 rpm vtech like engine, chassis, transmission, differential, steering is so perfectly balanced and tuned

Pt 3 The AMG has 54/46 w-d BMW has 50/50 w-d. Huge let down of the AMG is the transmission its a 7 speed automatic with a electronic steptronic feature. The BMW has an awesome 7 spd DCT Dual Clutch Transmission. This tranny will allow you to control the shift engagement hydraulicly. The more pressure you add the faster and harder it will shift also the gears are tuned so that once your in a gear the next gear is already engaged thats why it has 7 grs. once you flip the paddle it launches the gr.

pt 2. The M3 is perfectly balanced when your driving it. The Chassis has been designed to the point that the harder you push it the more in control you feel its an experience that i cant explain its that good. Technically the AMG is a tad quicker, when i say a tad you really cant even notice it. The difference is in the Powertrain, BMW has the 4.0 aluminum high revving V8 The 7 speed DCT transmission and a perfect differential that really transfers the power between the wheels when needed.

So many of you guys are such idiots talking so much trash. I have test driven both cars even the ISF, Lexus has a way to go anyway i purchased the 4dr M3 because i have a family. They are both great cars the AMG has more brute force like a Z06 and has that great grunty sound. Only thing i didn't like about it is if you put the power down it will bark and bite your hand off. If you push the car it feels very edgy and at its limit can feel unsatisfying in the turns because lack of feedback.

As always the Mercs use brutal torque and the Bmers love to rev - thing is the M3 is already stretched thin whereas the c63 is a detuned E63 donk meaning 50kW are just a retune away - add CAI and exhaust and they are picking up nearly 100Kw and are running high 3's (3.82) - sure you can do the same mods to the M3 but they are then only running low4's and just fall further behind the further you go - both great cars obviously.
