  • Well done!! The tenor did his part really well. Big thumbs up!!

  • Very nicely done!!

  • omg wonderful!

  • My high school choir is singing this song and as a soprano i applaud whoever is singing that part in this group.

  • Nailed It!

  • this is fabulous!! The harmonies are superb! I'm simply blown away. Great job guys!! I'm truly impressed!!! =) Keep up the amazing job!!! =)

  • did you have real countertenors for this song?

  • nope; no one trained as a real countertenor

  • gentleman!

    great!

we are start to train thease song - it will be made could showers in my nek!

i hope we will have a also gobod performance. ikie you. i will doo my very best (basso)

    klaus

  • holy crap ;o the blend is awesome! beautiful!...*wipes tears from eyes* lol

  • Nice blend, guys!! I was able to hear all the parts, which is sometimes difficult for a mens group. Baritones kept everyone in line, lol. I do wish the basses were a little more pronounced in the beginning, but overall, a great job!! And the tenor on the solo was getting it!

  • wonderful!! so glad to hear men sing in an acapella group and actually LISTEN to each other and BLEND. fabulous. :)

  • Love it!

  • Very well done. You guys practice very well and it shows. Where can we hear more?

  • Thanks for the comment! Search for wesleyanspirits on youtube.

  • Really a spectacular performance of this piece. I was looking for the King Singer's version to send to a friend, but of the two recordings up here, one is too loud, and the other is too soft. So on a whim, I decided to see how your group did with it. It's so good (and the recording at the right volume) that I'm going to send my friend your version instead of the King Singers.

Where is Wesleyan? I know there is a Wesleyan, WV, but I don't think that's it.

  • Thanks! Wesleyan is in Middletown, CT.

  • ps u guys are hot

  • lovely just wonderful

  • where did you guys get the sheet music?

  • this is remarkable. The King's Singers have set a standard not many dared to try their quality against it. You guys did, and I must say I think even the King's singers themselves will salute you with a tear (or two) if they were somewhere in the audience there. Well done.

  • Thanks! :) We really appreciate it.

  • Absolutly beautiful. Brought tear's to my eye's.

  • beautiful counter tenor. very nice ending!

  • thanks a lot!

  • this is quite good. about as good as the king's singers. pretty impressive.

  • wats the group called????

  • they are Wesleyan Spirits

  • The countertenor is really goooooood *tears*

  • absolutly wonderful

one of my favorite songs by the king singers

you guys did an amazing job

    (:

  • dis my sawng shawty sang dis in 9th gRade

  • Absolutely beautiful singing. The young tenor and bass singers are just awesome. Wonderful video, and thank you so much for posting this most touching song.

  • T.T thats so calming and pretty its wonderful

  • sounds so nice!!

  • Your version was played on Ireland Lyric radio - lunch hour show. Was very relaxing and sweet to listen when traveling on a train.

  • oh really? being sung by our group (The Wesleyan Spirits) or the same arrangement being sung by someone else?

  • Ahh the announcer mentioned 'the kings'site. after the end of the song. There is a podcast on the radio web try around the 47th minute if it helps. I typed the kings lullaby into youtube and you came up.

  • ahh... yes. This arrangement is originally by the King's Singers.

  • Bravo!!!It's beautiful (and I love the King's Singers!); but if I may, just a little advice: sing a little bit slower and think the silences are as important and emotional as the singing. (Excuse me for the faults, I'm french); but congratulations again!!!

  • My favorite arrangement and performance of this song! (other than Billy himself, of course.) You guys have a great tenor section, and sound fantastic. It looks as though you also have several conductors, tough. :]

  • amazing!!!

  • Absolutely magnificent. Have you recorded an album yet? Do you ever perform in New York?

  • we do perform in NY from time to time when people invite us...

currently recording an album right now... hopefully out sometime this year! thanks for the comment!

  • Will Billy Joel's Lullaby be one of the tracks?

  • we hope so!
