I would like to see this with the lights on but I wouldn't want to have to walk by the snake. I know that's lame but I just really hate snakes! Real or not!

@theandroid01 At least you didn't get stuck AT the snake part! That would be terrible. I remember one time I went there when I was younger, about four, the snake scared me so badly I actually unbuckled my seatbelt and tried to get out. I was successful and they shut down the ride immediately because they have a sensor in the seatbelts.

the worst place to get stuck is either where the snake hisses at you or when you're smack dab in the middle of the arrow fiasco e______e

That seems to happen alot with this ride. Tht would suk being stuck rite infront of te snake. It freaks me out

this ride broke down when I went on it and they told us a bunch of random trivia. each car weighs 6 tons, there are thousands of volts running through the center, and there are 1995 skulls in there to represent the year the ride open. It was interesting, we got stuck in the exact same spot! twice....

I'm with everyone that got stuck before the boulder. We got stuck one one of the last rides, right before the park was about to close, and riiiiight in front of the boulder. We didn't have to walk, but we got stuck several more times afterwords. It was fun.

Got stuck on this last week, just prior to the rolling boulder. Sat in pitch darkness for a good 3 minutes. Sounds like a short time, but seems longer when you are in pitch darkness.

@PirateGuy815 I'm sorry to hear that. The vehicle tried going down with me, my parents and the other people who joined us whenever Indiana Jones said something like: "Whoa, careful!", "Uh, oh! We've got company",etc. I was like "Indiana, I was born under the snake for heaven sakes. What's wrong"?

im sorry, but that is a myth. its actually made of foam that spins on an axis. there are many videos on here that completely illustrate how the effect works. i reccomend watching some of them before you spread around false knowledge

as castmembers we dont wanna ruin how things work in the same respect that a magician doesnt tell how his tricks are done... the ONLY reason we turn on the lights is 1) its a safety issure 2) its a coutecy to those who are in the rat cave in the dark...

no, actually, because the people there were really stingy about having cameras out while being escorted out of the ride.

my dad, however snuck his out and took pictures. it was then we saw the totally black room that is the rat room, the hallway with the pointed darts, and the still-spinning boulder with indy hanging about.

all lit up.

The reason the cast members says no photography/video while being escorted out of a broken ride is primarly because the ride has it's lights on and it reveals the stuff that makes it happen that is not supposed to be seen by guests. Thats why they also say no flash photography on a dark ride.

uhhuh. it sucks when people do that. i was one POTC once and there were people taking so many pictures and lighting it up that the staff yelled at the boat. it sucked

yeah there have been times where a cast member would literally disrupt the ride themselves over a intercom and basically say 'please no flash photography' and then the sounds would continue throughout the ride

Well I can see and partially agree with their policies, they spent a lot of money to create the illusion of things, and they don't want to ruin it. I think it's pretty cool to see how it's done, but I still feel the illusion even after the reveal.
