  • amazing concept, I wouldve never thought that to be true

  • Smileyface measuring thing :)

  • Always nice to see a cat appearance. :)

  • joerg u have a very good imagination and u are a skilled carpenter and contraption maker. I make slingshots too and all of them are inspired by yours. theyre not as effective, but they still work good.

  • 6:58 what bitch Face LOL

  • could you send me a diagram of the trigger mechanism plz it look so simple in your vid thanks

  • wow, thats one hell of a slingshot (with heating) :)

  • I think this is very interesting. imagine if you could create some sort of solar heat trapping generator using several rubberbands to transmit the heat to mechanical energy. so cool

  • well i know that design is still a work in progress but the reloading system is quite a bit a hassle and what if the projectile or the rubber itself hits the heating films?

  • turn on the captions and select transcribe audio, be prepared to laugh your ass off

  • @spudinator2 XDDD ..... Transcribe audio hahaaaaa... 6:35 "I do have a pure bulldozers mostly talked about it for you contributors to. Compared to other wife nixon but like. The first one is probably the most everything short of that were made. Its really ugly. but its very practical because its too quick isbn changed areas. CHristian people today and see and close to quit. XDDDD......!!!!!!!

  • I wonder, would it be possible to make a slingshot like this with two shots like "Side by Side Sling-X-Bow," I'm curious what changes you would need to make, but I think it would be really awesome because normally as you load the second shot of the Sling-X-Bow, the rubber from the first shot you loaded would cool and be much less powerful than the second shot.

  • Dude can you see the possibilities of that thing?

Get rid of that sissy band and use a band that you find to be at or only just below your limit, load it, heat it and fire your high-powered silenced slingshot at whatever.

  • you never replied to my message:(

  • @dannymetts I get hundreds of messages every day, impossible to answer all of them. That is why I run a forum.

  • Honestly these videos are awesome and it teaches me whilst being entertained, keep it up

  • How I wish I live in such houses and have such good environment

  • joerg do some more slingshot news like you did 1 year ago :)

  • @sohy3010 Not many views on those videos, so I gave that up. Show biz it is.

  • I never thought a guy and his slingshots could be so badass.

  • Whats the point of the heat

  • @Musicalshootings Rubber Bands store energy as thermal, and when fired convert it into Kinetic energy. The Drawing of the Rubber Band makes heat, but begins to cool down immediately. If you take a heating element and reheat it, you regain lost energy, making it as powerful (if not more) than if you did a quick drawback and fire.

  • I'm sure you have had this question asked. But do you melt your own ammo or do you buy it from the hardware store?

  • @ThePatrick6122 he has a video on how to cast them yourself, check it out :)

  • I like that clamp slingshot, its very practical!

  • You need to sell that desighn lol!

  • i'd have liked to see how bicycle iner tube would have looked on the heat camera, it should probably have been a bit colder, also on tht note it's probly been good to see the differant bands on the heat cammera

  • @rafiki1squashbannana Heat camera was rented for two days, has been returned in due course.

  • @JoergSprave hey joe shoot something in long range

  • @thiago88smart Hard to film that.

  • @JoergSprave you can get someone filming from your back so you can shoot something from like 30 meters.. would be awesome to see it

  • @JoergSprave you need hig speed camara

  • You are awesome

  • YOU are a VERY dangerous man... 0_o

  • 5:43 reminded me of Schwarzenegger."poot it daaaauuuuwwn" lol

  • @ZebbMassiv I think he's related to Arnie Schwarzenegger!

  • very very nice can you buy this stufff? like a real sling shot

  • Joerg, Can you please compare some different pouch methods, like woven, leather (Kangaroo, Cow Hide, Other) and also what ive been using 19mm Velcro (Hook and Loop Tape) Strips. I believe that the velcro is superior in many ways. Have you tried the velcro before and if so why do you not use it.

  • @XxDollarBill I like leather, it is lightweight and won't break.

  • It makes sense that the thermal energy put into the rubber when stretching is lost to the enviroment - but to add in thermal energy to improve the pull of the rubber is pure genius. Bravo!

Me adds idea to heat engine build list ;)

  • your videos are convincing me to look back into slingshots, be a nice change from guns

  • I haven't got a slingshot, never used one, but your vids are tempting me bigtime.., btw you must be the jolliest chappie ive ever see on youtube!. Brill vids btw.

  • ihm scheint ha nicht kalt zu sein

  • @DjFaboo Wie auch? Warst du diesen "Winter" mal im Pott? :D

  • smiley face on the draw scale :)

  • you are awesome

  • What's your bra size?

  • Can you speak German ?

  • Are you from germany? ... youve got a german accent o.ô ... (im german too btw)

  • hello, i have watched sooo so many of jorg's video, Fing BRILLIANT!!!! but one thing that makes me chuckle, considering he is quite a serious guy, is when he shoots a slingshot he gets that naughty boy/child like grin look on his face, fantastic! keep up the great work boss! (i'm sure i have the same look when i'm showing off with mine! haha)

  • best accent ever :D

  • how long have you loved slingshots?

  • where do you buy your ammo?

  • HAPPY FACE!

  • After every time you shoot your sling shot's you have the most serous look on you face. It's an intimidating face

  • @ryanonthirdearth That's because he's a slingshot BOSS.

  • Wie war das in der Thermodynamik-Vorlesung:

Entropie ist gleich Kuh durch Tee :)

  • Wait that it would be weaker when cooling down seems just strange.. material is contracting when cooling down so the tenseion should be stronger than when it's warm

wouldn't it be weaker when warm and stronger when cold?

  • @ThePhotory No... as I said, IT works in mysterious ways.

  • Happy portable electronic scale is happy :)

  • Joerg, what happened to your pump-action slingshot?

  • @MrSup2121 I am optimizing it, it does need some more work.

  • A question. I have thera tube black but i can get more than 40 mps. I hate a draw length about 50 cm. Why can't i get faster than this?

  • @DZgoodTimes 50 cm? That is a very short draw. Yiour bands shoiuldn't be longer than 10 cm for that draw.

  • @JoergSprave wow, i don't think i have enought strength to do it... the thera tube black is quite heavy. But how fast do you think i can get?

  • @DZgoodTimes it's all about willpower, keep trying everyday and one day you will get strong enough to di it.

  • awsome stuf, but to me the greatest or coolest slingshot was the improvised slingbow inevented by Dave Canterbury!love your ideas!

  • keine hobbies bzw freakiges hobby

  • yes, it is quiet, but is it powerfull?

  • @georgeinfection97 It has a 100 cm draw and can take the strongest bands. Yes, it is very powerful.

  • Comment removed

  • he had to have a safety latch did'nt he

  • @mognut1 Safety latches are for whimps.

  • I really enjoyed that. You must lay in bed & think sling shot. That was one hell of a gun.

  • i love this slinshot but there has to be an easier way to reload it without losing heat...maybe mix and match with your repeating slingshot?

  • This guy is super cool.

  • Germans make the coolest/longest lasting gadgets ever

  • Wow - I enjoyed this video, probably the most of all. I had no idea that rubber lost its power (somewhat) by the cooling.

As an aside... is it possible to turn down the volume on the intro and outro? They are quite loud in comparison to your voice. Love this channel!

  • please balistic gelatine test?????

to get an idea of the force it has

  • I just now noticed the nun that turns and looks at you in the closing sequence. That shot is priceless. Was it coincidence or did you have to talk a nun into giving you a look as you walked by?

  • WOW!! I LOVE GERMAN ENGINERING!!!

  • hhaha 6:59

  • Can you make a review about the "slingshot swimsuit"? :D

If you don't know what that is, just google it.

  • Aqui estilingue é brincadeira de adulto ;D

  • @willertexx1 Brasileiro aqui?

  • bin schoan ein bissl wet *_*

  • You are so goddamned creative. I can't wait to see the Entropy Slayer in action. I don't think I've ever shot a slingshot in my life, but I thoroughly enjoy this channel, Jörg!

  • i like this

  • i dont understand when you heat how the tention increase? when i think heat must make ruber easier to stretch right?

  • Are any of your sling shots on sale? I would like very basic one from you.

  • Yeah. Echte Männer bauen Waffen aus Holz!

  • ooo the heat gun....other wise know as the blow dryer XD

  • @AlwindaChipmunk1 I think it's an actual industrial grade heat gun.

  • Next step: More batteries, more heating films! The worlds first slingshot for arctic conditions! If I ever start building slingshots I might do it myself, it would be perfect for the Swedish winter!

  • Ich wohne auch in lippe! :D

  • You make me smile every time I see one of your slingshots. Keep up the good work!

  • rede doch einfach deusch ^^

  • wow, klasse zeugs, was du da bastelst.. mir würden den ganzen tag die gummibänder ins gesicht schlagen.

  • you talk like a German

  • @walter19231 we all do in germany

  • jmd da der lust hat du camen?

  • I pity the man who tries to burgle Joerg's house.

  • I like how the electronic scale has a happy face. c:

  • You have more tech than K.N.D. =)

  • Comment removed

  • The scale is smiling.. :D

  • whats your occupation? other then making youtube videos.

  • I meant 10 pounds haha. Sorry typo. Thank you for pointing that out jake.

  • i think the tensiometer is made in china

  • This is very helpful information for people inventing. normally I would add more rubber bands to increase power but now I can see that heating it can double the power of one! thank you superBdawk

  • Next time, kill zombies with it!

  • You should make a video that shows how powerful slingshots can be.

  • @haze656 I thought he does that in almost ever video, lol.

  • Dutch, my friends.

  • Slingshot channel? Brilliant.

  • This guy's cool but he's shit at sarcasm

  • I liked the last one!

  • Hey Joerg, have u ever gone to a Wal-Mart (im not sure if u guys even have them), and bought pretty thick rubber bands and chained them? Like 3 per chain. I did that with my slingshot and its about 60ish pounds of a draw weight (maybe more or less but it feels about that). Its pretty strong.

  • @Cookiemonsterv1 Hmm... I doubt you could pull that back with one arm.... thats equilvent to half a human....

  • Thank god Bart doesn't know how to make one of these haha

  • have you ever tryd to build a self drawing slingshot? this was the idea i had with a winch motor attached to a clamp that you set with ammo, then turn on the motor. the pouch draws back to desired possition. it would need a trigger system to release the pouch. electric would be cool, but manualis probly more practical.. anyways just thought id share!

  • You look so serious after you firing a slingshot. I'd be smiling. lol

  • Good video, but hilarious gay accent!

  • Comment removed

  • 7:00 you're next...

  • are you a german??

  • @SuperBdawk Last time I checked, yes.

  • @JoergSprave greetings from deutschland :D

  • You always get the most serious look on your face when you fire the handhelds. I actually found your channel through SINZA. Super glad I did! You make some amazing stuff, and I just had to subscribe. Peace \!!/,

  • the face you make just a second after you shoot the slingshot is a tad scary, actually quite scary

  • 7:00 Like a BOSS :DDDD

  • Maybe u can measure the speed of launch? so you can see the difference between the power of launch when the rubber is heated and when it is not..

  • @orikzzz I tried, but the chrony does not like dark winter days.

  • @JoergSprave I think you could shot a piece of ballistic gelatine once with cold rubber and once with hot.. Great channel!

  • You should put a gnarly sight on top

  • I was thinking here: You heat the floor of the gun, and you have a big area to heat and a lot of high impedance tracks. This heat will not be equally distributed trought entire elastic because will heat more the part closer to gun floor. Maybe better use higgest impedance tracks in the walls of the gun? This way you can just do resistence tracks next to and in the same area of the elastic and this way more heat will be dispended and more equally.

  • @leleobhz The film goes up the sides too. Don't forget that warm air is lighter than cold air and rises to the top of the box anyway.

  • @JoergSprave Ah, in video i cant see the sides warm track. I know, i just wonder that because to spread all warm, even with this physic propertie, it will take a time, so you must to wait a bit until the elastic get the max tension. Im wondering a better warm distribution on this dutting.

  • @leleobhz It takes the heating system about 15 minutes to max out the temperature increase. A more powerful heating is not practicable because of the energy consumption (the battery is already fairly heavy). I guess a fuel burning heating is the only alternative, plus better insulation of course. But I am fairly happy with this one already.

  • @JoergSprave Im thinking in a "contact pre-warm system". A coat more or less fixed you arm with the elastic and envolves the elastic. Using flexible wires, it will increase the rate of warming, reduce power consumption (Since its a contact warm, uses less impedance to warm less and improve heat conduction). Likelly F1 racers do with tires. Since this wire can be a very thiny elastic too, it can be released together the main elastic.

  • @JoergSprave Ill try to draw this idea, since my english domain sucks :P

  • the weight meter looks very happy :)

  • Each time he shoots he looks like David Blaine from those "street magic" videos.

  • doesn't the brush slow down the ball?

  • the process can be modeled on a force- extension graph, the band experiences hysteresis, no?

  • Aawww, your scale is happy

  • that last slingshot looked super powerful! i could hardly see the ball.

  • He's like David but as big as Goliath all in one

  • This is really awesome, its clear that you've found something you're really passionate about. You've got my subscription. Keep on building these badass slingshots!

  • Nice job!

  • You can't slay entropy!

It's a fundamental law of our universe!

Just like nothing can travel faster than light... Oh shit wait!

  • Close your eyes and hear Robin Williams with a slight accent

  • I can't even begin to explain how epically awesome the title of this video is

  • Interesting you called it a coffin, because when I first saw it, thats the first picture that came to my mind, great job, a very technically involved build

  • I was expecting to hear the charging up sound of the proton packs from movie Ghostbusters when you flipped that switch. Very educational video.

  • The last slingshot looked like the bottom of an older sword.... coolio and the tool clipping slingshot was awesome...

  • i like germans to develop new technology even for fun :)

  • I feel as if the end of the slingshot will decrease the efficiency to the point where the factor of heating it up doesn't matter anymore.
