  • I Am Not! Special awesome people helping children in torn families do not need to be employed by bankers and sociopaths...

  • omg I remember this song. I can remember a bunch of kids standing around someone playing a piano clapping & singing this song, I think it was the early to mis 80s, maybe around 84 or 85?? It was real easy to catch these commercials early in the morning around 4 or 5 am

  • Did you know that our money supports the Children’s Aid Society…and yet too many of our children are dying in the system that we depend upon to support them? It is time to go beyond the C.A.S review board-we need them to be transparent and held accountable for what happens to the children under their care. Join us on Facebook. We are a wealth of information. Facebook group: “Stop the Children’s Aid Society from abusing LGBTQ youth”.

  • the beat box rhythm

     is gay

  • lmao i remember this all 2 well!!!!!

  • this is sickening barf. Poor kids, they havent learned anything other than the lies repeated to them. This is sickening CRAP.

  • Lol... And1 Mixtape Vol. 4

  • Old Guy Reporting in... The original was cut in early 1981. I should know. I played guitar in the studio for that spot, and the girl who was playing in my band at the time played bass. She got the call, and brought me into the project. 1 Hour, $87.50 Union Scale. No residuals for that type of commercial spot gig. After the musicians, the singers in for 1 hour, then an hour to mix. 3 Hours to make, ran on Local NYC TV for over 25 years. Damn.

And I came here looking for a copy for myself!!!!

  • @wfjoeyg

Do you remember the iconic TV commercial jingle for the CAS that was shot at the CAS aka "Rhinelander's" on East 88th Street 1st Avenue in Yorkville Manhattan? Many of my friends of the era were in the original TV commercial. Was it really in 1981? I thought it was sometime in the 70's.

  • boooooooooooooo i wanna see the original 80's commerical that use to air

  • Wheres the cartoon with the black kid?

  • They help me with my homework when I'm stuck, they help me when I'm down and out of luck...blah, blah....I'M REALLY GLAD THEY MADE THE CHILDREN'S AID SOCIETY"

  • this is bullshit

  • Okay, Gen X-er here...eh, what the HELL is this? Are they intent on ruining EVERY cool thing from the 70's and 80's? Oh, did ya hear the re-make of "We are the World" they did last year for Haiti? I LITERALLY almost had a conniption.

Can ANYONE think of anything ORIGINAL anymore? Music, TV, Movies...the list goes on.

Once they re-boot Mr.Owl from the "How many licks does it take..." Tootsie-Pop ad, I'm jumpin' off the frickin roof, so help me God!

  • WTF?!? Where's the original!

  • this sucks this isnt then original ...........

"they help me with my homework when im stuck"

  • I need the old school video. Please, someone has to have this!

  • wheres the old school one?

  • Children's aid society was the shit. Me and my friends would of been dropouts if not for them. They helped us more than our school teachers. Fuck the NYC school system, all props in the world to children's aid society. TRUTH

  • This upbeat stuff is bs; the children's aid society was about helping kids in need and children in need would not be singing preppy crap like this lol.

  • Yeah, thats the one I wanna see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They help me with my homework when I'm stuck....

they help me when 'm down and out of luck....thats all I remember

  • I always thought they said, "They help me with my homework when I'm slow...." lol These commercials were the best.....

Remember the kid that broke Mr. Krumpki's window! :)

  • I guess this crap will have to do........I'm pissed

  • Seriously. This is definitely a step down from the original. Lame attempt to update it w/ the dance beat. =/

There might be a chance to find it if you write the CAS & ask if they have recordings of it and/or have it on video. I did that for an old 70s March of Dimes tv ad I remembered & they SENT me a free copy on vhs!

  • I wish I could find the old song too

  • its so old that no one took the time to record it cause they thought it was lame.. but didnt realize it was a 4 o clock classic

  • I have looked everywhere. I even contacted the CAS to see if their archival unit has information. Never got a call back... Go figure...

  • Does anybody know if the original commercial/song has been posted anywhere on the 'net?

  • 80's, I remember that annoying commercial from the 70's

  • I'm amazed the original TV commercial hasn't been posted on youtube.
