  • English Fail

  • horrible!!

  • wow, this comments section is a good cross-section of typical gamer personalities. you got the level headed, casual guys who think this is something to check out, but then a whole shitload of people who are excessively cynical, spoiled, purist, presumptuous douchebags. funny how people rip apart something they never tried in it's function and also bitch about the price yet go out to spend hundreds to get a huge frames per second overkill margin. ha, fuck em, they can have their boring mouse!

  • if it wasn't $200 i would get one but oh my word that is the most expensive controller i've ever seen

  • Wtf??? You guys can check out my video, it shows how to download games.

    Oh yeah, and subscribe to.

  • So it fucks your aim up online? thats retarded.

  • no, it has been proven to be even better than a mouse.

  • Well said. LOL.

    Spoken like a real gamer.

  • @ fry's for 99 with a free game =)

  • Too bad the only Fry's is two states away...

  • doesn't need to be that big. it could be the size of a wii, except that there are three motors, one for each axis in space to simulate the movements, maybe two other ones to simulate rotations

  • My mentor is using this controller for robotic control. The first one he received broke after a week or so and they had to return it, but they have had no problems with it since. To me - it seemed like it was kinda of flimsy. It also seems to be kinda of expensive - just an IR sensor and some feedback motors.

However; it is definitely a great innovation. I will wait until next generation - but this may be the Apple 2E of intuitive mouse control.

  • Seems to me for FPS games the kickback with this would create a disadvantage when compared to a mouse and keyboard. While the user of this is fighting with kickback, the mouse user has no such disadvantage.

  • The feedback is totally adjustable. When you compete you can turn kickback off completely, but still feel where you are being shot from (unless you also turn it off).

The Falcon it is a true paradigm shift for any game. The feedback is so real, it´s absolutely mind-blowing.

You have to try it to believe it. Once you played with it, you will never go back.

It is an absolute MUST HAVE for any gamer.

  • get the pistol grip addition, much more comfortable, even with non FPS games.

I think its the future of gaming.

  • guys this controller is better than it looks. maybe... but my friend says this controller is great

  • The price has come down. If you shop smart you can pick it up for $135. I'm surprised that many gamers don't consider this worth it, but I guess they don't realize that this kind of technology ordinarily costs tens of thousands of dollars.

Yeah, it looks a little awkward, but you should have a place to rest your elbow, and you can do 4 hour gaming sessions no problem. The pistol grip is better, and I'm hoping to see more ergonomic grips for other applications in the near future.

  • that doesn't look comfortable to play with for a long time... it looks incrediably annoying to play with actually.

  • hi self \/ \/ \/ \/

    lol

  • I was expecting more, not impressed.

  • Yeah, I'm not that impressed either, though this one was better than the last thing I just watched about it - it made me slightly more interested in it. The stuff about the games though, that was kind of lame. I'd like real stuff to play.

  • lol :37 thats a gamer's face right there

  • lol yeah

  • @Kronikwookie: you mean 1:38 ;-)

  • @TheAdLab lol that too.

  • I was just put in charge of making this work with several games a company I work for have made.

This is a very fun little toy but as past viewers have commented on, fatigue is a factor to take in to consideration.

This is in its early stages of development though so I'm sure the fatigue issue will be resolved in their later releases of this product.

  • you can turn down the amount of force even down to it doesnt even kick

  • Or if you really like the game you'll build up muscles, which will be good for you, and fatigue won't be a problem anymore. Plus, without that, it'd limit how many hours people spend playing video games, which would probably be good for them even if they didn't agree. ^_^

  • 2 pounds each arms fucking idiot!

  • its two fucking pounds you pussy

  • 2 pounds of kick back.

That probably doesn't apply to when you push on a solid surface when using it.

  • i'm getting one ill try to review it

    .....

  • played with this and it rocks. Fatigue might be a factor, though.

  • true, i could imagine just 20 min of multi player play your shoulder muscles would be too tired, and the cost of 250$ for an elaborate mouse, Jesus, just by a WI.

  • Just another challenge. It'll drive you to be a better gamer.

  • It would probably be cool in the beginning, but then my arm would get tired from holding it up all that time.

It normally rests on the arm rest, and you don't know how much you take that for granted.

  • The design seems flawed, I can see your arm getting tired after spending 30 mins with it. Also quite expensive especially when you consider a plain ol' mouse is just as effective (minus the whole force feedback motion sensors). As a gamer, I just want to play the game, not hold a ball and have it recoil at me

  • Man this guy's Wii 2.0 comment has brought in the flames from the console fanboys. Geez do these guys have anything better to do? If you don't like the controller move on, if you haven't tired it you have no scope on how it works or it's pitfalls. So go jack-off to your favorite console game and get lost.

  • I wonder if he even really was doing what he claimed at the end ("yeah, that's right...") xD

and it must be weird to feel like your entire hand is in the gameplay. ... without the rest of your body. 'OH HEAD SHOT BUT ONLY MY HAND FELT THE KICKBACK' XD

  • I suppose you could rig up a .357 Magnum with a USB cable, mount it on your monitor, aim it directly at your face, and program a mod for it. Make sure you have your HEV suit on!

  • That guy has a kickass job.

  • Would be awesome to incorporate something like the virtual reality technology in the YouTube HundredMilTechnology channel! Check it out. Can have virtual controls and virtual ghosts in three-dimensional empty space...create mechanical controls such as buttons, out of empty air! WOW. Totally customizable and portable. Could potentially add haptic feedback in a portable and wireless solution, but audio and video feedback already awesome.

  • dude i cant wait until june then that will be awsome

  • I sware the wii is a lot of crap. I mean it no fun for to use a mouse-like thing to play. If I was you get the PS4. coming 2010. save you money. thanks.

  • They need to expand on this idea

  • no, i mean that nintendo will no doubt be the first to create actual, fun vr

  • nintendo will no doubt be the first to create vr

  • ...VR's already been done by Nintendo.

    It was crap, though.

  • Ugh, I can't believe people are wasting time inventing stuff like that instead of virtual reality.... I mean, it's just another controller that "fights back." Nothing that special.... I'd like something that would immerse someone in their favorite games, like Halo or WoW or something. If I were a billionaire, I know a chunk of my money would go to inventing some form of virtual reality.

  • ok so what makes it different from a wireless mouse.. it sits there, u cant pick it up and aim like a wii remote, u just grab this small ball taht connects to a bigger ball.

  • cooollllll i want one it is better than some wee it could be very good in fps (thou i havent played for a long time)

  • oh i know this...this is really old. It was introduced at some convention. Its basically a roller ball that works like a six axis, you can move back n fort, but is not like the Wii.

Its only good for PC FPSs

  • Yep, it's finally out now though.

From what i've seen it only has 3 axis. It can't roll in any direction - note the triangle attached behind the ballgrip is always facing the same direction and never tilts.

  • how much is it...is it good!?

  • well according to their website NOVINT. COM

it's debut price seems to be $189 US.

as they settle in this will drop some

  • omg this sucks!!!!

u might aswell buy a wii

  • fpps games are shit on the wii

  • where do i get one?

  • as it is its a little dumb, but damn.. this is well on our way to full range of motion sort of stuff. Maybe implement this kinda thing into some kind of 'wearable' device. think of the pounds people would lose running around in WoW instead of sitting doing jack shit.

  • why did u put your MAC down there

  • it would be better if you were holding on to something other than a ball. especially simce the controller fights back

  • i want one

  • 09-f9-11-02-9d-74-e3-5b-d8-41-56-c5-63-56-88-c0

  • What's the point of this, Obviously you can't let small children play with it. Who's gonna be that gentle with a shooting game??

  • why use old shit when there is wii

  • You r such a retard.

this aint old shit and it aint comparable by the Wii,

This is a pc you nOOb, this aint a console.

and btw Wii is an impulsive buying product cause it gets bored unless you r a nintendo groupie

  • ok so ill be so bored playing all the games out on my and you'll have lots of fun with your 250 odd dollar machine that plays a few mini games and halflife2

  • Wii and haptics are completely different things. Although, to your average Youtuber they're probably the same.

  • it would be kinda fun for free or really good at an arcade. its no wii 2.0 by any means.

  • that is stupid, complete bull SH!T

  • Yeah i dont like i mean he said they 'might' bring more games out for it nobody will buy it if its only godd for 24 games...and what is it....is it a controller or a console....also you only use one hand that would be weird

  • WTF was that thing

  • i want this so bad

  • dude thats awesome

  • ILike this :')

  • what a shit invention,

  • expensive but coool

  • lol not something to bust out with ur friends when ur drunks as hell...

  • Doubt much people will be getting this, but looks like something will be using in the future.

  • nobody is going to pay that much for a controller that can only play minigames and HL2

  • 2 things:

i find it so huge to have it on your desktop and..

i hope it can actualy resist endless hours of playing, especially in half life 2, because of the feedback players will get into the game, and with the excitation of the player, he may pull too hard the controler, ripping it from the rest

  • would get it, but not for the price.

  • This was at E3. It's for MMOFPS games on the Pc. Why is the video title Wii 2.0?

  • Yes yes very nice but not good for the price. The wii is a heck of alot better for only $10 more. Good idea though. But ill just play the display at best buy

  • i don't think it will do well

  • That's pretty call and all but very expensive. I'd rather have an old mouse over that thing any day. Cool Idea though; who knows might start a new gaming genre.

  • notice all they do is compare it to wii,, everyones trying to do one better but i dont think itll happen..

  • I love this unlike some people there all like there trying to copy nintendo. i think its great, more competition means more technological advances.

  • for $10 more, you can get a real console with more than just fancy aiming controls.

  • thats gay...im not buyin

  • looks kinda rap if you ask me

  • yea that's right

  • Holy crap, that is the coolest thing ever...screw the wii, this is the future of games. Yeah, I said it: screw the Wii.

  • thats a really cool idea with the response but its expensive and like LIANG14 said you cant move while your using it. It would be better if you could use it WITH the wii or xbox 360, and also if it was more afordable. I could see this being a really popular wii or xbox controller... if it was more afordable... and worked with one or both of those systems.

  • retarded

  • huh kind boring it seems pretty ugly and non real i thinks it sucks!!!

  • The whole point of teh Wii though is that you can move! You can't really pick that up! The weapon recoil is cool though...

  • I don't think it is that great

  • Hmmm very interesting but dont think it is going to do well.

  • Great, now all we need to do is wait 3 years till people can afford it

  • *cough*people are buying the PS3 which is more than twice that price*cough*

  • Gimick

  • Like the wiimote amirite

  • nope.

  • fricking sweet...im totally gonna get one
