@glendelio EU rules say that cucumbers that are too crooked (some are almost round) are lower class (i.e. lower quality) than straight ones. Therefore, the crooked ones are discarded (and that's a lot of cucumbers). It is one of the prime examples of idiotic EU regulatives.
I agree that Jamie Oliver is'nt neccesarily fit for a political career, but a genuinely believe that he actually cares. Most of his shows are co-funded by himself (Jamie Olivers Food Revolution for example).

I think the EU does have a lot of advantages: It should be used a lot more for environmental purposes, ie eco-energy trading between nations to make Europe 100% environmentally friendly and energy independet. The Euro has until now been a great success, very stable currency.
