I have never heard of another man who sings this song at least as well as this version by Jay Reinecke.

I've heard others attempt this, and they fall so short of the mark it's silly.

I like Jay Blacks (David Blatt) version better, and Jay Traynor is really the only person I have ever heard sing "She Cried" with the intensity of lost love.

Now there are really no good voices out there.

All 3 men who've sung lead under this legendary group's banner are magnificent! Jay Traynor sang lead on "She Cried", & other earlier releases. David Blatt ("Jay Black") replaced him & sang lead on all the other hits. Screwed up big, & lost rights to use the band name in bankruptcy court. The originals here got the name at auction held to pay off Black's debts. They needed a lead singer & they certainly found one! the only LOSER is someone who spells loser as 'LOOSER'. Jay Reinecke is perfect!

This new Jay is incredible, and for those Jay Black fans out there......First of all his name is David Blatt and Second, he isn't the original either. Jay Traynor of the Tokens was the original. and Thirdly, Sandy and Howie are the founding members.

Hometown audience, first Brooklyn appearance in 35+ years - should be even better than their S.I. show last April. If you haven't seen these guys live since they reformed, you're in for a real treat; having seen JATA live on numerous occasions in the '60s and '70s this is exactly the way I remember the group in its prime - tight harmonies, explosive lead vocals, and (in contrast to Jay #2's recent gigs - and I'm a MAJOR fan of Mr. Black) you don't have to be afraid to bring the kids/grandkids...

Jay used to front a band in Chicago for many years called Johnny Starr and the Meteors and always did a great Jay and the Americans set. Its so great to see him doing this now.
