When I was a kid I had the 45 to this song and used to play it all the time on my record player. I loved the song and loved dancing to it in my bedroom. It is a cool song and so exciting to hear.

I'd seen all of his best films - King Creole, Flaming Star, Follow That Dream, etc - but had yet to see any of the bad formula movies. If I'd known what a huge plunge this one was going to be, I might not have seen it yet. It's sad to think how Elvis must have suffered making this one. The plot degenerates into songs (TOO MANY SONGS) and hordes of bimbos who constantly hunt the men down. The only highlights were a couple of the songs, a hillbilly blonde Elvis and the hilarious "double" scenes.

No, Elvis is not talking about real cousins, but it is legal for 2nd & 3rd cousins to marry, and in 27 states it is legal for first cousins to marry, with circumstances on six of those. It is prohibited in 24 states. It is about equal between northern and southern states. When Jerry Lee Lewis married his 13 yr old distant cousin it was LEGAL.
