Arcade Fire definitely deserved their award. Everybody else I don't know about. The thing about Arcade Fire is that they're not popular, but Grammy's is not about popularity. It's supposed to be about art and good records. I think Arcade Fire does that. Granted, I did not like Neon Bible, but Funeral and The Suburbs were pretty solid.

What do you mean she does nothing behind closed doors? Portions of her ticket sales go to homeless LGBT youth, and she has made a VERY inspiring political speech about DADT. It's okay to not like her music/outfits/etc but don't talk about things you don't know about.. She is a huge advocate for the gay community and has done a LOT for us. Be thankful.

You totally hit the ball on Gaga. I don't know why it took me so long to catch on to her but I've been slowly accepting that she is just not as earth shattering as she claims to be. I caught glimpses in her interviews because she sounds sooooo damn pretentious with her constructed accent and profound pauses. I have to disagree with you about the tribute to Aretha. Every artist brings their own unique style when they do a tribute. There are reasons why they select certain artists over others to do a tribute, it's because a.) They can sing! and b.) They know how to bring their own unique style. I don't think it was about J.Hudson or Christina. Yes, they happen to have great voice register boxes and great runs, but no..it was not about them...Hope this helps :)
