George Bush started the PATRIOT ACT witch allows the federal government to put you on a terrorist watch list if you get a speeding ticket. Stock market has nothing to do with real economy!! During economic meltdowns the stockmarket historically has risen. Since 1980 our natinal debt has skyrocketed. Bush a republican EXPANDED gov. (homeland security), gave us the financial market meltdown and bailed out the big banks...most Americans are in denial as the ancient Romans were. Why did the republicans guarantee a loss in the last election??? What happened to personal responsability?? Dont forget the patriot act!

Why is the stock market up 25% over Obama's election? Dow closed at 14 month high today? What about the 2.9% GDP growth under Obama? What about the back to back increase in retail sales? THe recent strengthening of teh US dollar? TARP paybacks? You losers really need to quit your chicken little act and get a life.
@applepie1e If you felt good back in January, you must really be euphoric now that we just finished "recovery summer." The official unemployment figures are close to double digits and the real figures are about double that. Add on the number of underemployed people, people stuck with temp jobs and people who did get jobs that pay much less than they made in their previous, pre recession jobs and you have an economy that is, to put it charitably, a clunker.
