Lmao, same happened to me - I restarted from that checkpoint 4 times because whenever that letter on the sign went down I would jump back up to kick his ass and he's all... frozen in time o_0 XD

In PS2 you gotta attack Gambit after he attacks you, else it does no dmg

Gambit only attacks when you kill all other enemies in the area sometimes
