Good God! You don´t know how lucky you people were !!! in south america we cuold not see this live and it´s FUCKING AWESOME!!! Hugs from chilean patagonia!! :D
I saw the opening night of this show in Hartford, right down in the pit.
It was cool to be the first crowd to see the whole show. It was fucking great, although Bruce's voice was seriously taxed by the high notes on AMOLAD.
I believe they did record this for a DVD but never released it. Maybe it'll see the light of day sometime, although I have my doubts.
Actually Lucipher means Light Bringer, from Latin. But this song isn't about suckin satan's dick! It's more about our human nature, just like 2828stratovarius said. "The good that man do often turns with their bones, but the Evil that men Do lives on".- Bruce Dickinson Rock in Rio 2001
sorry but your wrong its about how humans just give up on trying to be good and the easier way out is to be evil, the song is actually like "be good" not like "hail satan!" and I know cause I have the bonus dvd that came with the limited edition of AMOLAD
I agree! Even though I'm a die hard Iron Maiden fan, I was a little sceptical about the A Matter of Life and Death album, I just thought that it felt like a wanna-be The X Factor (which is my favourite album) with Bruce Dickinson. But after I listened to it the first time, I just loved every bit of it
well they released a video for download festival except they dont play the whole album like on these shows but if you want to see it here watch it on dhmaiden's channel
id would of kept benjamin breeg the riff before the solo just keeps me hooked on the song for the greater good is also amazing but lord of light is better
DAMN THIS SONG OWNS THEY NEED TO PLAY THIS MORE but on that note to all maiden fans im sorry to say this and it kills me maiden only has 3 maybe 4 tours left in them it makes me sad to type those words
He sounds *easily* as good he does on the album, if not better!
Personally, I think this is the best track on the album, and one the best they've written in recent years - a lot of people cite "The Legacy" as the strongest song, but I've always thought it seemed a little unfocused and overblown - it's one of those "meandering" epics that doesn't quite work.
"Lord of Light" is a much more cohesive track - it's a haunting, memorable song that kicks ass from beginning to end!
Man... you said everything i always wanted to say about "A Matter of Life and Death". "Lord of Light" is also my favourite and i also think "The Legacy" isnt that good as some people say.
Very well done analysis and write up!

..We are part of some strange plan
Why the slaughter of the brotherhood of man
Infernal sacrifice of hell
Fire breathing lead the way
Mounds of bodies as they all burn into one
Revenge is living in the past
Time to look into a new millennium
..this is about....Maiden hell from Croatia!!!

It's about how Lucifer isn't such a bad guy after all, just an angel who got the wrong end of the deal.

The X factor is void of Bruce. Blaze sings on it.
The whole album is one of the best albums a legendary band has done in recent years. Another being Saxon's Inner Sanctum.

@KRUVELIU000 yeah, you're fucking right, although most of the songs are very similar among themselves it fucking rock the socks of the devil
