That's what happens to me...Everyone asks me how to draw, I mean...Though, I can't animate or draw animals. I mostly draw Pokemon and cats and that's pretty much it. AND!! I LOVE YOUR ACCENT!! :D

@artkitten137 yes, (i have ps elements) but it doesnt have the animation option so when you want to see the sketch youll have to render the sketch and put it together in movie maker
@artkitten137 well, what i do is i open finder and go to the picture and drag it over to the imovie timeline (for some reason you cant import them..) i do that with all of the animation frames the i think double click them and set the time to .1

Elements is essentially a simplified version of Photoshop, but PS hasnt had an animation option until its more recent versions so I would imagine your program doesnt unfortunately. If you'd like an animating program I suggest downloading Pencil 2d, a free animating software available on the internet. Google it and you should find it ^^

@RealBronzeClaws Hello saw you question here and I thought I would answer for ya. Yes you can use this animating technique with elements with doing with layers and stuff but you can't actully so the animation on the program, you would have to save all of your frame pictures load it on to a video program then see how your animation looks. It is very anoying I have done it before with elements and it it a pain.

Excuse me, Phoenix, but I have Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and on 'Windows' it doesn't have animate. I'm desperate, and not sure what to do. I have made 13 frames, and I only now noticed that I can't find 'Animate' anywhere! I've been working for about an hour on my first Photoshop animation, and I don't really want my work to go to waste. If you could reply, I would be extreamly greatful...
@ScourgeForever I can't say for certain because I've never owned PS7 but I did own 6 and versions of Photoshop as old as that unfortunately don't have an animation option. However you might have Adobe ImageReady which I had as an add-on for PS. It's a simple add-on which basically lets you make animations - try searching the help section of your version of PS to see if it's there ^^

I'm at Farnham myself and it's pretty grim. The part time course I'm on at the moment is Art and Design, although I'm hoping to get into animation next September, but their idea of art is an unmade bed and vomit on a wall >,< Good luck with Bournemouth though! :)
This is actually a lot more helpful then you think though I don't have a cool program with layers so I have to play around with the lineart and everything more so that i can see what I have done as other steps. If you don't mind once I get something animated out may i show it to you to get a critique on it? It would be very helpful to have other animators look at it and tell me what needs work. it's true about getting practice when i draw out of boredom at school people are like omg you draw so good then i glance at what i drew then i glance at them and then im like what are you smoking if you want to see what practice does then i will post a vid on what i drew like two years ago then last year and now this year you will be laughing so hard at what i once drew like! cool way to animate! :D I use lightboxes and lots of paper and the software flipbook and it takes ages! 8D But when i get a tablet im going to try animaing on photoshop

Yea, I'm 13 XD and I've seen that alot of ppl I'm subscribed to are British (or England-ish? XD) I love your animations! My vids suck, but that's only because I've never used computer stuff before, but I've been practicing ^^ and yes, Florida is 87 degrees right now! (I live there, if u couldn't tell ^^)
you don't sound that old i expected an old person doing these animations but that isn't a problem (just saying) i have been trying to make animations but i have a mouse and its difficult (also i can't believe that you create these animations XD) but i will continue to try..... hopefully get better.....
@inuyasharules1235 lol it depends what your deffinition of old is. Most of my watchers are 13-14 so by their standards I am quite old, but I suppose at 18 I'm pretty young in comparison to middle aged people XD

Also, you can animate with keyframes in Flash rather than straight ahead, which makes consistency a heckuva lot easier :P

Excuse me, Phoenix, but I have Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and on 'Windows' it doesn't have animate. I'm desperate, and not sure what to do. I have made 13 frames, and I only now noticed that I can't find 'Animate' anywhere! I've been working for about an hour on my first Photoshop animation, and I don't really want my work to go to waste. If you could reply, I would be extreamly greatful...

@ScourgeForever I can't say for certain because I've never owned PS7 but I did own 6 and versions of Photoshop as old as that unfortunately don't have an animation option. However you might have Adobe ImageReady which I had as an add-on for PS. It's a simple add-on which basically lets you make animations - try searching the help section of your version of PS to see if it's there ^^

I still feel stupid for not realising you were British also XD Do you go to Uni or planning to go? I just sent my Ucas off. I'm trying to go to Bournemouth :s They're amazing for animation courses.

Yeah I'm doing a short course at uni at the moment, but I'm not taking a degree until next year. UCAs is truly the bane of student life :P Hated it!

I'm at Farnham myself and it's pretty grim. The part time course I'm on at the moment is Art and Design, although I'm hoping to get into animation next September, but their idea of art is an unmade bed and vomit on a wall >,< Good luck with Bournemouth though! :)

This is actually a lot more helpful then you think though I don't have a cool program with layers so I have to play around with the lineart and everything more so that i can see what I have done as other steps. If you don't mind once I get something animated out may i show it to you to get a critique on it? It would be very helpful to have other animators look at it and tell me what needs work. Thank you either way for all of you help ^^

Just c;lick the arrow at the edge of the frames window and clikc 'make frames from layers' much faster than doing it one at a time :)

I have a question...
Do you put your animations together on WMM then import them in Sony Vegas? Or what? I have sony vegas and I want to put ALL the animation together on there, but I'm not sure how. Help D:

it's true about getting practice when i draw out of boredom at school people are like omg you draw so good then i glance at what i drew then i glance at them and then im like what are you smoking if you want to see what practice does then i will post a vid on what i drew like two years ago then last year and now this year you will be laughing so hard at what i once drew like! XD

cool way to animate! :D I use lightboxes and lots of paper and the software flipbook and it takes ages! 8D But when i get a tablet im going to try animaing on photoshop

Not that there's anything wrong with other animators from elsewhere, but English people who animate are just... awesome.
By the way, how on earth do you draw so easily on the computer (with a mouse) O_o I cannot for the life of me, draw on computer, and (don't have adobe, but have used sumopaint) I can't work adobe (sumopaint). Can on paper, not on PC.
Anyway. Awesome stuff :') Where's part 2?!?!

Yea, I'm 13 XD and I've seen that alot of ppl I'm subscribed to are British (or England-ish? XD) I love your animations! My vids suck, but that's only because I've never used computer stuff before, but I've been practicing ^^ and yes, Florida is 87 degrees right now! (I live there, if u couldn't tell ^^)

you don't sound that old i expected an old person doing these animations but that isn't a problem (just saying) i have been trying to make animations but i have a mouse and its difficult (also i can't believe that you create these animations XD) but i will continue to try..... hopefully get better.....

@inuyasharules1235 lol it depends what your deffinition of old is. Most of my watchers are 13-14 so by their standards I am quite old, but I suppose at 18 I'm pretty young in comparison to middle aged people XD
