hey what program did you use to print, also any recomendations fo the sensor how do you get it to work ? I built one got it to print but it just came out magenta and very light the thing wont print anymore, please help thanks
Hi, could you tell me where can i find the pdf and the forum theyre talking about, id really like to try this with my printwr. Thanks alethya_quintana@yahoo.com
sir, i appreciate your work, very interesting.. i have a small business here in my province printing on a very hassle silkscreen process..i think i need your help, i already read your post on tshirts forum sadly becasue of all the big guys.. please help me to try on my old printer c67..i already downloaded the pdf plan you post but..i am not specialist on printer, i only do screen printing.. best regards.. this is my email munhamir_asgari@yahoo.com, i know you just want to help poor people
I'm impressed with your innovation. I just want to know the disadvantage if the A3 printer of Hp is used? It can be refilled with the DTG ink but I'm thinking about its impression on T-shirt. Kindly enlighten me on this please.
I use Epson T13 direct print on cotton t-shirt with pigment ink, just found color fast while washing. Really need any suggestions to slove this matter.
Hey! I Was also into building this machine 3 Years ago, and managed to get one print only, then i stopped, `cause the ink was getting too expensive! And time was also needed! I`ve seen some cool improvements on the T Forum like the conveyor belt thing wich is exactly the thing I suggested you, before ending the project! WOW! (remeber? My Name is Andre from Germany...)
Nice to meet you again! I will try again with the new 1900! And i hope to find your name somewhere. This project was so much fun!
to those wondering if the image will wash off...the answer is no. from what i know, water based textile ink is used..which is permanent. its the same ink that is used in those expensive DTG (direct to garment) printers. which brings me to another point..yes this method has been around for a very long time but only available to those who can afford to pay over $13,000 or so for a DTG machine. this video demonstrates how it is possible to print DTG for much less. hence the "DIY" part.
could i do the same thing with a HP Deskjet F2430 All-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier ? I honestly want to know cause i want to turn a home printer into a tshirt printer
Hey, anyone know the steps to making this because the guys site doesnt seem t work fo rme. If you could tell me the right link or someoen to be kind enough to sell me one I woul dbe interested.
Thats pretty amazing; homemade direct to garment machine. It is probably not very reliable for high volume production but very cool. Check out my videos for tutorials on screen printing and heat transferring tee shirts. Questions welcome.
He honored my plans order, in a about a month. The plans are understandable, and compete. Haven't made the printer yet, but he is straight forward about it, and explains that his first tries at printer disassembly were not successful.
Beware of this guy. I bought the plans on his website and that was almost 2 months ago, but to date I still have received nothing. About 1 year ago he used to offer the info for free and now that he is charging $25 but does not even send it. What is the guy playing at!!!!
how is it bull shit he didnt pay 10 grand for a machine he made this at home using some wood and his epson! hes not selling it hes sharing his idea you idiots!
To the guy using multiple accounts saying you bought a printer from this guy and got ripped off, please shut up, this guy doesn't sell the printer. It's a DIY made at home printer, and he merely offers plans for you to do it yourself for a donation through his site. Stop talking crap.

where can i get the ebook of how to build it? can i use this system to make 200 t-shirts and more?? is for a little bussines, please answer me :) thanks!
no the best method of printing on shirts is still screen printing. the next best thing is heat transfers and its cheaper than screen printing. $1000 and you can easily have enough to start a shirt business.
hey thanks for the reply. My only complain about HT is that your limited to certin apparel because of jackets, bags, etc. Some don't have the large flat surface and some textures can't be heatpressed. You are right about the price though.
I like this. Flat bed printers can be used to print on CDs, DVDs, pens, pencils, memory sticks/cards, cell phones, lap tops, keys, remote, controls, ID cards, storage/shipping containers, hand tools, etc. no flat half way portable surface would be safe from a color photo quality image with a color flat bed ink jet printer.
i tried to copy your plans using an Epson C90. I got terribly stuck with the paper sensor part. Whenever I print I always get a paper jam error. I taped the actuator just like you did with your printer. Any suggestions?
You can print this same image on t-shirt paper and iron it on....
DyeSublimation doesn't always look bad or fade... You can get a heat press for about $ 300 and the paper about $ 56... You can do 3 dozens within 30 minutes...
I love this machine but less see what happens this year 2008 at the tshirt convention conference!!
companies already sell DTG printers for $10,000 up to $250,000. So this is not new its just a home made hack of one of the many professional Direct To Garment Printers out there. Search dtg printer in google and a few company website will come up.
