  • Dear Adriantaichi, I did not take "great offence", just responded to an unhelpful condemnation ("your form is all over the place") and a non-advice ("check out Sifu Cameron"). I practice in Paris (France) and sifu Cameron teaches in Edinburgh (Scotland)! So???

  • not impressed, the guy you have took great offence to was trying to give you some advice about your form and point you in the right direction and all you can do is criticise him,not good if your a teacher I'm afraid, you should always be prepared to listen to other instructors and take on board what they have to say whether it be good or bad and not be offended by what they say

  • Very nice flow in the form, ones more thanks from me to you for posting these forms :)

Helps me alot to have this to look at when I need to refresh my knowledge.

Keep up the good work and practice :)

    many regards

    JB

  • Thank you, dear Jocbo. Good luck with your practice too.

  • Your spear form is all over the place.

Check out Sifu ian Camerons form ,you may learn something

  • Why "may"? Do you think he is not a good enough teacher or a generous enough one to "surely" teach me something? I have immense respect for Sifu Cameron and would have been honoured to learn from him if I lived in Scotland. As it is, I am just the teacher of a small group of dedicated people who asked me for this video to practise at home between classes. If you are lucky enough to have access to him, go practise instead of criticising other people's work!

  • Definitely. The Yin leg supporting the weight is the rear one as you sink to smash the opponent's weapon down. The Yang leg is the front one, with minimum weight on it and the heel lifted, ready for lunging forward for the counter. Try the same sinking with both heels down, and your movement will be hindered by double-weightedness.

  • @WUDANGFRANCE Very true

  • are you allowed to lift the back of your front foot in the spear form?
