Ich liebe dieses Lied, gesungen bei Rudolf Schock, und lausche seiner Stimme jeden Abend. Thanks!

A wonderful melody sung beautifully by Meistro Schock. Despite being fluent in German, I have trouble with the German lyrics. Can anyone post an in the clear version of the text?

I find his voice unpleasant and rather unsteady and this song is not well served in this performance.

The German lyrics are lovely and my closest interpretation would tell of a Minstrel wandering, by foot, from one place to another. Performing in different places; and wandering on. When tired, he fell asleep in a lovely forest and while asleep, he was kissed by the beautiful fairy living there. And when our Minstrel woke up he thought that it had been a dream, so, he pulled himself up and walked away with a smile on his lips.

This man not only sings this song - but manages to transport his audience into the realm of existence far removed from the hectic Today. A wonderful magical voice, so gentle and yet strong! Rudolf Schock had the unique way to deliver his songs so effortless singing with his whole being heart and soul. He was so natural; my favorite tenor! Thank you for making it possible for his voice to be heard singing to this, beautiful, haunting melody, via You Tube.
