@dhide14 my reviews were of my experience which goes beyond the contract, you should do your homework before responding. As I stated, I acknowledge that others my have a more positive relationship with DirecTV. FYI, looking them up on the BBB as I respond to your statement, I can see that there are 34240 complaints with only 5472 closed in the last 3 years, additionally the regional office has a D+ rating. DirecTV had action taken against them by the FTC.
@amigajoe Hi, after the year the price of the tivo service drops to $14 bucks a month. Without the service the tivo is a pretty brick and does not provide any programming info. However in my area with a digital tuner I can pull in the same channels. No program guide but I can get info on the current program being received. Hope that helps

Replying here too, in case. If you drop the $19.99 plan, do you still get any guide data for OTA programming ?
