Let's look at this this way. Sure, it is true that cats need to bathe very rarely, or under special situations. I bathe my cat once every four months or so.

okay ENOUGH about the abuse! This is not animal cruelty! Cats hate water/baths but it is a necessity. Cats (any animal for that matter) HATES (perhaps more than baths) getting their booster shots or another needle given vaccine but it is done anyway to benefit their health. There is a huge different between sitting down and bathing your cat in a nice relaxing environment, and sticking it in a glass prison while shooting water jets up its ass while it desperately tries to escape.

Except it isn't a necessity at all. I've had dozens of cats over the years, and only one of them has ever needed a bath (because he was fat and lazy and wouldn't/couldn't lick his back), all the rest are perfectly self sufficient.

Either people are just neglecting their cats or they're putting them in here for no reason... and either way I can tell you a bath in the sink is less stressful than this, by miles.

Cats hate water. Cats sometimes need a bath. I have 3 cats, love every one of them. But the last time I was forced to give kitty a bath it looked like I got into a knife fight with Freddy Krueger.

Cat spa, I would use it. Just give kitty a bit of reassurance and a treat. It's only traumatic for a couple of minutes. There are worse forms of cruelty.
