  • yer it dose not have alot of ram and it is intel celleron

  • i got that new update for it and avg works and it cleaned the computer from viruses but now explorer won't work and i can't manualy start it

  • So at this point you cannot start the main Explorer.exe service? That means your desktop will not even fully load. Or do you mean just the file explorer will not work? Maybe the virus did more damage to your Windows system files. Even though the virus may be gone, the "scars" are still there and reinstalling Windows may be a faster fix than band-aid each remaining issue one by one.

  • i got that download but now i got rid of all the viruses but explorer wont work and i cant manually start it.

  • Maybe you just need a fresh start my friend: backup all your data, wipe your hard drive, and install a copy of Windows XP... that is unless you are using a Pentium II computer with 128MB or system RAM memory? :D

  • on my other computer i have avg it works but i foung out that when update it you can update it more than once some times

  • Hi Daniel, sorry about the late reply. Sounds like you were eventually able to get AVG to install? This video is a bit old as now the AV software is up to version 8.5. And yes, during the update, sometimes you need to repeat the update process to capture all the needed updates.

  • i have a problem my computer is windows 2000 and i cant install avg becaus it said i need to update to rollup 1 but i have a virus that is stopping the update so i downloaded spy bot search and destroe but that wont remove it. it only finds it

  • So you really still on a windows 2000 system? The latest version of AVG (8.5) does required that Windows 2000 has one of the later service packs installed to work.

  • Your awesome =)

  • try removing AVG, then reinstalling the program. if you have windows vista, disable User Account Control (UAC) from the Control Panel -> Accounts section then try removing and reinstalling AVG.

  • On my AVG the ant virus and anty spyware components are unactive!I can't fix it!Can you help me pls!???
