@Sabimausal89 Theres no use for the curb chain if its in front of the reins on a bit such as a loose ring, D ring, ext. When you are using (for example) a D ring, the curb chain helps apply the pressure you want to send to the bit whenever you pull on the reins. Sorry if I made it sound a bit confusing. :)
The only thing I've found that my horse will ride in is a hackamore. I started her in a side pull and then tried a bit, and with the bit she was worse. With the hackamore, she does awesome and sticks her head in it on her own when we go riding.
