There's a nonagon, which has nine sides, and a decagon, which has ten sides. But I don't think most kids would be able to draw a nonagon or a decagon.

I think going beyond the basic shapes is a good idea; kids may not know what a trapezoid or a hexagon is, but they should know that other shapes exist and have names. Four stars from me...

indeed,but I know it very early because the swimmingpool in my village for little children who could not swim ,was a hexagon shape and it still exist
