i loved their first album, and the song 'if you let me'...it was very innovative, and the way shawn tubbs' killer guitar solo was just mind-boggling for a highschool sophomore i was then. i'm not liking their the cure-like and new order-like sound as of lately.
The VB was way beyond their time! - unfortunately only a few obscure christian music fans really appreciated Michael's vision, prolific style, and brutal honesty. they had the potential to blow up huge! but were pigeon holed and even black listed by the christian church into obscurity. IMO. I'm no expert on VB's success. but I've been a huge fan since the beginning! thanks for sharing your art and music Michael!!! I highly recommend buying every one of the VB CD's - you will be touched!
this song is pretty good but man it sounds so much like Smashing pumpkins Era of Siamese Dream I guess jeff wasn't lying when he said he was a big fan of the pumpkins
It's funny that you mention that since the self titled album is generally well regarded among fans. I personally liked the EP versions of Sun and the Sky and Crush better though, as I thought they sounded weak on the self titled album. I saw the VB a couple times at the Coconut Teaser myself... I think my ears are still ringing from them, lol ;-)
bitter sweet. but as they say, how would we know sweet, without the bitter?

While this may sound quite off and strange, this set of songs was my best friend for many years. Thanks Mike.
(BTW: I think your way out to lunch VB was much different sounding than SP... That said, both bands rocked.).

Pretty good. The lead singer looks like he comes straight out of a Ben Stiller skit though. XD

Sometimes I'm curious what this song is all about. It's a great song musically though!

Don't tell me you're one of the vineyard people who thought Pritzle was an evil sinner for the self titled album.

And that's Jeff Schroeder (now in Smashing Pumpkins) on guitar.

On a purely musical level, pretty easy to see how he got that gig, right?

What a strange video. I love TVB. I hope they make a new music video soon.
