Grooves like this one are SO important- fundamental. I've been working exclusively on grooves from Ziggy, Melvin, Jabo, Clyde, Mike Clark. The question of this upstroke is super important -- both the ability to actually make the stroke within time, as well as the actual subtlety of the sound. Great post, Chuck! You should do a post on Mag-Poo. I need help with it!
