  • They give you their calculator. We can't bring our own calculator. Also they give us a pencil and our first math test part one. The part one math test you get to use the calculator and then they give you the second math test part you won't be able to use the calculator. Thanks for reading.

  • @uhavemooface

Hey, on the second part of the math test, where you can't use, the calculator, what's on it ?

    Please and thank you.

  • You'll* typo

  • If you keep thinking it is hard, pull fail. Instead think of it as a challenge you can overcome. It's not a hard exam, if you prepare for it. Stay focused, keep a positive mind, and be prepared is key.

  • The GED math test was really hard for me, and I wish that they could make this test easier to pass, because it is a hard exam for many of the GED candidates, and the failing rate for that test is very high!

  • I wish that they could make the GED math test easier because it was hard for me

  • What! I hope i don't have to bring my own

  • KNOW MY TIMES TABLES?!?!

    CRAP!

    I hate math.|:

  • I swear math is like this ....when they first start to teach it to you it's like ooh this seems fairly easy .. as easy as "ABC"..and then they introduce it to you ..and its like you're trying to learn a whole new language.... "a;lksjfoiwjelfkjawe;fjwofjwojf" .....

  • Domo Arigato Mister.....Jimmy

  • Thanks Jimmy!

  • I remember being a beast at 9th grade level math...which happens to be when i stopped going to school LOL. Someone please tell me the Math ged test isn't much different than 9th grade?

  • CAn anyone tell me how hard is the g.e.d math part?

  • Thanks Jim-Jim, good advice. ;)

  • Thank you for the basis of understanding. Math is my problem area so I am going to take one subject of math at a time. I was wondering what is going to be on the test.

  • @pretty00kitty - Why don't you leave him alone, he's simply saying he's made some past mistakes on the test and seeing if he can figure Out why. Why do people have to be so mean ? Leave the guy alone...he's not hurting anyone.

  • this video isn't very helpful...

  • I have to do my GED test tomorrow but i dont think ill pass the math i cant even remember the last time i passed a math test

  • Thanx Jimmy, you seem like you would ( if you aren't already ) be a great teacher. I'm striking out to take my GED in the very near future, I have been procrastinating for so long for fear of failing, but I'm gonna push past all that and get it.

  • Go ask your local college, they might even let you take it there

  • thanks again

  • My daughter has not passed the math portion. I have paid a lot of dough and still ....no pass! can anyone recommend a dvd or something? I am in Atlanta. Thanks

  • get on you tube and look up jedimathtudor, or something like that, he realy helped me. theres all kinds of stuff on youtube.

  • yea i tried 6 times to pass the GED, i have college levels in everything but math. they should let you opt. out of a subject if its the only one you are bad at. its just another way they hold you down.

  • @7glitch im in the exact same boat here

  • im taking a practice test on the 9th, i hope i can pass it.

  • Why would one want to learn the multiplication tables by heart!? Isn't that what calculators are for?

I don't know how to multiplicate or derive without calculator or head, still I know how to expand Taylor polynomials! Calculators are there for a reason. ;P

  • when you taking a test calculators aren't allowed so you have no choice but to memorize them thats what i did and it's a huge benifit 4 me

  • G.E.D is easy

  • The GED isn't easy. I study at home with books, and in classes but I still can't pass it after 4 times. No matter what I do, I can't pass it.

  • the key to passing: PRACTICE. try it. i can SWEAR it actually works. my best tip is to master algebra. like factorising:

(10ab-5a)=5a(2b-1) see, what you do is take out the common fctor. in this case is 5 because 10 is divisible by 5. then you put a 2 inside cuz 5 times 2 makes 10. and the a appeared twice to both numbers. thus it could be taken out too (:

  • huh? lol man IM 22 yrs old, its been 5 years since i've been in a classroom. idr any of that! :(

  • lol.i think you just forgot. but i bet a little rivision can make you good again(:

  • help revise me! lol

  • I practice a lot and I haven't passed it yet. I keep failing by 10 points. No matter what I do, I just can't pass it. I guess my father was right. I don't think I'll ever succeed.

  • DOOONT ever say that! i used to fail very badly too. maybe it is the way to practice. see in math, you WILL pass if you practice. and to start with that you gotta understand. there are alot of tricks in math. like for example, if they give diagrams or work-out questions, you must learn to read between the lines. i took exam under cambridge so i dont know if there is any difference with your country in which i suppose is america. but it shud b the sam tho (: learn the basics, i can help(:

  • Thanks for this video. I've not always be to courageous in the Math department as I always felt as that it was my worst subject, however I'm willing to step out in faith and trust God to give my understanding in Math.

  • Ugh.. Math is my worst subject. Everytime I hear the word "Math" I shudder in terror... But I try to get along with it every now and then...
