Just picked up a generic red sparkle Pearl made kit.Reuther label on the nearly perfect floor tom.I'm trying to get a cleaner sounding video done.Mine is just noise..but still pretty cool.With these old Reuthers,head choice is everything..
@scooterpunk13 sweet, good luck with your set. your right, head choice is everything. these had the thick black dot heads originally, and i never liked that thud sound they gave. switched to thinner heads and it really made a difference.
All I can say is WOW! Beautiful! Sounds great, too! Just bought a set of Reuther Drums (black) at a yard sale for $75. Am cleaning them now. Completely restored one of the toms (w/new heads, too) and I think it looks great! Hope I can get more information. Really new at this but REALLY excited.
Thanks! congrads on your yard sale find, thats a great price. reuther brand was made by pearl as an entry level set. They are very good quality for an entry set. ive had mine for almost thirty years and they play great. good luck with yours!
Thank you! I have owned it since new,,probablly early eighties / late seventies. The video was taken after i had just taken them out of storage and cleaned them. new heads too.
I just bought a ruether kit off of craigslist just like this but in white for $30!!, still has the original adams heads on it, the only thing i need are tom stands and a bass drum leg, if you know where to find the hardware for this kit please send me a message!!
thats a great price! i dont have any extra hardware, but keep looking on craigslist and ebay. my advice would be, if you see another cheap set, snatch it up and build one good set out of the two. good luck and enjoy!

WOW!!!! That`s almost the same drums Peter Criss used on the Alive! album with KISS!!!! Best drums I`ve heard ever!!!!!
