@bestamerica Yeah no amber turn signals or complete gauge package. Makes it seem cheap. It could have been better. 2006 Nissan 2 red turn signals (Separate to brake lights) and gas filler on drivers side.

I reall tlike the looks of the G5 inside and out, I think it has a fresh look that is now better than the civic and the cobalt and just about any competitor. Plus the pontiac has nice standard features.

@whtswrngwthupeople This is one of the cars that helped prove Pontiac's worthlessness in the automotive marketplace. It was a brand confused by wanting to be Chevrolet, but trying to be sporty. They wanted a "sporty" aveo and called it the G3. The G5's interior is the same as the Cobalt minus small changes for pontiac trademarks. And both their interiors aren't near as good as the Civic's in terms of overall quality.

@whtswrngwthupeople Which is why Honda has consistently ranked higher than GM in just about every category lol. The Civic's interior is much nicer materials, and a much better fit and finish. There's a reason it sells so well lol. Even the Honda Fit's interior is better than the Cobalt. Reason they are killing off the Cobalt is because it can't compete, not even with the Corolla. And the Corolla itself isn't all that great.

That's like comparing a mesh shirt to a t-shirt. Sure it's the same basic formula but there's enough difference. The Camaro's interior is decent and as good as the Mustang's, but it was also competing with other sport coupes of the time. And that conspiracy stuff is retarded. The current CIvic is made in Indiana btw.

I had a 2006 Chevy Cobalt which is pretty much the same thing and I had no complaints at all about it. Why is it that every time they review a car, they have to talk so negatively about them. This is a compact car, not a Cadillac. It is a great car inside and out. I rode in a Toyota Corolla and a Honda Civic and they were not all that. The Cobalt has just as much quality and fun ride as all the competition. Save your money and buy this car.

the non gt manual can burn out btw, so when they say it doesn't have the power it boggles me. Also i was waiting for them to get to the gass mileage, it was nice how they said the G5 and the G5 GT get about the same and only list the G5's MPG. Our G5 gets easy 37-41 highway, if you want to get 32 get a civic~ 8 MPG adds up, very quick quick...

I got My new G5 with the lowest price with the best incentives. But now the unbelievable incentives are gone. They still have incentives but not like mine. I'm gonna get My new 09 G5 for $7,683 All the discounts GM/incentives/cash for clunkers got me this deal. I got OnStar mylink, alloys, auto, cruise with the steering wheel streeo controls etc. The CD, air tilt etc are standard equip. and a discount for being an earlier 09

@ Gmoney3290. I don't know about the other pontiac models... I'm sure there's no worries, but as for the G5 it's parts will be easy to get. The G5 IS a Chevy Cobalt made on the SAME assembly line. There are a boatload of parts for the G5 and will be for YEARS to come. Any part from the Cobalt will bolt right on the G5 anyhow. There are no G5's left at my dealer. I got the best deal and was first to get the cash for clunkers there however I am STILL waiting to pick up my car.

I bought a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire, 51000km's. Standard Transmission, and basic model.

Its the basic model, so no power anything (extra things that wont break). I love the subwoofer, and the interior is very nice.

Overall, I love my Pontiac!

I have the 2008 Pontiac G5 GT. It has 171 horsepower and 167 lbs of torque stock. I added a GM air intake and it now has about 181 horsepower. This is a very swift and beautiful car for only being a 4 cylinder. They call it the baby Goat and little brother with attitude. We build excitement.....Pontiac!!!

You can get a GM air intake. You might be able to use other brands like K&N and Injen but they require special brackets. The GM air intake can be installed in about an hour. Some people mention performance chips and headers but I'm not sure about those parts. A GM catback exhaust will also add more horsepower. Enjoy your G5.
